Happy to report that the motor runs!! :bounce: Quickly found out that the spacer for the fuel pump was missing so on hold for now, but it started right up. Happy Day to say the least. Fuel pump spacer is on order & should be here this week.

In the mean time, working on bleeding brakes, clutch, making power steering lines, etc. Cleaning up some knick-knack stuff.

Alignment & exhaust will be next on the list.

Feels good eh? You are getting there man...

Beautiful work! and it helps me to not be overwhelmed when I think of all that lies ahead. I'll be hitting you up with questions I am sure. First the OEM AC is it available or did your have it when you made your purchase?

I picked up the AC unit here in the classified section.

Can you post info on who you used for Dustless blasting?

@merbesfield - I am in north GA, about 45 minutes from Atlanta - up I-75

I'll find the name of the dustless blasting company - pretty sure they were from up around Chattanooga.

Picked up a few pieces from the painter yesterday...:):bounce:

This is a stupid question I am sure but can you have different pieces painted at different times and have it all match?

No good question actually. I asked the same thing. My painter estimated the amount of paint we would need for everything & mixed it all at the same time. If we think we may run short, we will mix another quart and use under the hood, etc where a perfect match is not as critical.

Hood & windshield frame are next, I'll drop those off Wednesday. About 2 week turnaround.

The truck is currently at the shop. They are bleeding and adjusting brakes & clutch, making lines for power steering, adding coolant, alignment, etc & making sure everything is working properly. Found out today that the power steering pump has to be rebuilt - another 2 week turnaround.

Decided I wasn't happy with the top of the windshield, so I redid the captive nuts I installed for the bikini top rail. Now I can put a 6mm bolt in to hold the bikini rail.

Started rust removal on one of the hardtop sides. Not as bad as some I've seen.

Now - I have to figure out how to make all these bends......

While I'm on the subject of the hardtop sides - any ideas on how to reattach the posts that go into the b pillar? Maybe put a sleeve inside it and weld the sleeve to both the post (loose) and the where it was cutoff? I'll fix the rust too while I'm at it.

Please share plenty of photos of how you repair the rails. I am looking at the same problem

How long were the parts just primered?
