What’s everyone been EDC-ing lately?

I usually carry a G43 but I keep finding myself switching back to an old favorite...

G43 is one of my favorites too but that 1911 reliability and function of a Kimber turns me off since I'm not an every day 1911 carrier.
Also watch out because that fixed blade is not legal to conceal in NC. (which is pretty frustrating)

I have a feeling if I ever shot that Kimber, I would never go back to a Glock 43 :)
I will say, that I am having a tough time selling my Glock 19 . . people low balling me and I am like "hell no - I will just keep it."

I love the 1911 (shoots like a dream) but since I've switched to appendix carry, the G43 has been incredibly comfortable.

I was eye-ing your G19 when you first listed it, great price, wish I had the extra funds right now :frown: GLWS

Also watch out because that fixed blade is not legal to conceal in NC. (which is pretty frustrating)

I hear that, and typically carry a ZT folder for that reason. NC knife laws are comical. :bang:

I always seem to go back to the old reliable;)

Awesome! I'm a sucker for S&W revolvers...

Not sure about NC laws, but here in TN, you can go to a dealer and pay $15-$25 and they will do a background check and legal transfer. I would bet you could do similar there if you're worried about it.

Question:

It’s been a while since I took a good look, but here is what I recall.

As far as I know, to be 100% legal in the eyes of NC, you are not required to go thru a dealer, but the purchaser should have a CCW permit or a Pistol Purchase Permit to go along with a Bill of Sale in order to be 100% legal as far as NC laws.

Now, there is no registry in NC so there is no way to track the private sale of firearms in NC, but if the new owner committed a crime or it was stolen, etc... and the gub led back to you, a bill of sale with no CCW or PPP documentation could have you running afoul of NC law.

Also, IIRC Durham County has some weird handgub rules, check them out if you or the purchaser lives there.

Stupid and convoluted, but it’s friggin NC:meh:

Edit:

Directly from NC DOJ

Under North Carolina law, it is unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to sell, give away, transfer, purchase, or receive, at any place in the State, any pistol, unless the purchaser or receiver has first obtained a license or permit to receive such a pistol by the sheriff of the county where the purchaser or receiver resides, or the purchaser or receiver possesses a valid North Carolina issued concealed carry permit. This requirement to obtain a permit prior to the transfer of a pistol applies not only to a commercial transaction, typically at a sporting goods store, but also between private individuals or companies throughout North Carolina. N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14- 402(a).

In addition, this State law has been interpreted to require that a pistol permit be obtained by the receiver of a handgun when such person inherits a pistol as a result of the death of another person. The permit should be given to and retained by the seller or donor of the handgun. In such a case, the permit should be given to the executor or receiver of the estate of the deceased person. If the purchaser or receiver uses a North Carolina-issued concealed carry permit for the transfer, the seller should reference such permit on a bill of sale.

Well rolled into Academy sports for the first time yesterday. Took advantage of a sale and the veteran special and came home with this. Wanted a simple red dot for the AR. I'm not an operator nor do I play one on TV so this will suit my needs nicely.

Dat's cold....

^^ LOL - I'm so old never even heard of "Operator" - of course I was in the Artillery, so . . not many Operators there ;)

You know all negative comments from Army guys about the Air Force really come from a place of being jealous? :)
