Elbert asked about the AK ride in the meeting section. Though I would start a thread so we can post pics and reports. People attending
From our club - Todd,Hunter, Rob, Hailey, Larry and me. Tate and Henry from GA, Daryl from AR and Robert Dixon from TX. We are meeting up with locals Darrell and Tim
I am hauling 4 trucks with Robert as passenger, the trip should take 7 days. Rob is taking his camper and his cruiser. The rest are flying up. We plan to do about 10 days in the back country then 3-4 days of fishing/sight seeing then everyone but Henry, Robert and I are coming back. We are the going to stay about 2 more weeks.

nice.... I gotta get in on one these some time. I could not go anyway this year, crazy job has no slack lately...

Did you check everyone's Battery hold-downs before loading them up :moon:

This looks like it will be an awesome trip. Looking forward to seeing some pictures and hearing some good stories.

Have fun...hope the "bugs' are not bad... don't become bait for the local wildlife!

post up when avalabile.... mo details on schedule going out...path and so forth. Do you guys camp on the way/ sleep in the truck / etc. I know its a long haul just to drive there... What location in AK is the actual destination and start of the main egress point...for 4wd.

I really want to do a trip like this one day. My current commitments (job/life/family/budget/etc) won't allow it right now but one day I will make it happen.

Alaska is def an epic trip.

There has already been some discussion of a trip from the East coast to Moab, Ouray, etc. between myself and some other friends that are on MUD. Not as cool as Alaska but I don't foresee a time I'll ever be able to take a month off work. I could probably do 2 weeks if I saved up a bunch of vacay time over a few years though.

Btw, already seeing some cool pics on Facebook and they're not even on the trails yet!!!

Whats up fellas! Good meeting you. This website is pissin g me off. I was going to post some pictures but I can't. Hit me up on Facebook I have all the pictures there.

I think you need 10 posts before you can post pics.

I'm sure you get 10 posts pretty quick in the thread you started. Tell me if I'm right... 9 times.

Gotta be out of Chit-Chat for them to actually count. I need to see some pics. Not a Facebook guy so I can't see any pics or updates :)
