I think this is an image we can all appreciate. Up until almost midnight trying to finally get my rebuilt engine back in - after almost a year of rebuilding it. I finally managed to finishing getting it it the engine compartment today after work. I still have a lot to do before she is running again, but it feels damn good to at least have a powerplant back in the truck.

(PS. Yes, that is the wrong motor mount bracket you see on the drivers side. Didn't realize that until a couple hours of cursing at my engine that no longer fit. DOH!)

Nice work! I'm planning the same thing but I'm sure it'll take me 2 years to rebuild mine
 
Actually, if anyone has photos and/or diagrams of the transfer case linkage assemply, that would be greatly appreciated.

It seems that my dissasembly notebook kinda skipped over that part. My recommendation to everyone who wants to rebuild their engine: WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN, no matter how insignificant it might seem at the time, you'll probably forget it a year latter.
