wow...if I didn't already have the OEM aussie mirrors I'd be dialing Onur's # right now. As usual great solution...already look great, can't wait to see it with the die cut and other material.

That's what I'm talking about! Done - sign me up for two sets, please. Already have the mirrors on my next PO from Onur. Yippie!

Sooo, to those of you who have gotten your mitts on this mirror...

How does the mirror adjustment work? Does the whole body have to move to adjust the mirror like the original FJ60 mirrors?
What happens when you knock the mirror. Does it lose it's adjustment like the original FJ60 mirrors?

One of the great things about the USA chrome FJ62 mirrors is that the mirror adjustment is independent of the mirror body. The mirror body can be pulled (bumped) inwards 90º to clear obstructions yet snapped back into position without changing the mirror adjustment. Driving through too-tight brush/branches will swing in the mirrors flush with the car, but it will not effect the mirror adjustment. I don't see a separate mirror assembly inside these black mirrors. It looks like the mirror angle adjustment requires moving the entire exterior mirror body... & if they get bumped, they will lose their adjustment. Am I wrong?

$149 each. Not THAT bad. It was my late christmas present. From me, to me
Just got some from CCOT

I ordered the softer material/thicker material. Should be here early next week. I'll do the same thing and get a rough gasket made and go from there. I feel it will be spot on. If so, I will make a nicer gasket and take it to the shop for them to make me a cut stamp.

Once that is done... they will cut a series with different pressures (lower and slower pressure= smoother cut.. and $$ goes up..) I will get them and inspect, install and then give them the GO or NO.

Once all that is done... it will take approx. an hour to cut 25 pairs. I think that will be a good starting off number and about that shops minimum order level.

I'll keep everyone posted.

Jason

Are the CCOT ones Toyota or reproduction?

Repro. Vibrate some at speed, I'll probably find a chunk of rubber and wedge in 'em to stop that. Much better than the little stockers which scared hell out of me backing down Colorado shelf roads with 1000' drops on one side.
