it's black

Too bad about the engine. Love to have one of these with the 22RE. They do exist.

Is the six cylinder that bad in these? I did notice it has Utah plates. I would make sure it doesn't have rust issues and can pass emissions.

Buy both and install the TRD super charger in the 100 series. Have 4.7 4Runner and had a 100 series. The 100 series could use it more.

I just bought a white unlocked one for $2k. 161k miles. Meh. Now I can put $8k in it and still be money ahead!
Non locked 94 with 160k for over $10k! I think its a little over market. Hell i passed on a 94 one owner non locked with 180k spotless AZ 80 for only $2400 lol.

I will make you a sweet deal on front and rear elockers and it will be worth $20K :grinpimp: Bring it down to Tucson and I will even do the install!

Check the high desert cruiser's for sale thread. 2manycruisers has his locked 80 listed for $2500. It needs a head gasket or rockjocked.

This is a sub $2,500 rig in my opinion. The primer/camo paint would be tough to repair; and imagine the wiring nightmares that awaits you after someone put that ridiculous stereo in.
The East Coast guys may disagree, but I've been watching locked 80s on the West Coast for maybe a year and they are plenty of them. In the LA and San Diego there are plenty.
To say they are rare or hard to find is a stretch.

Looks like the market on high miles locked 80 series is coming down closer to a price I'm looking for. Here is a link to a thread one in Redlands, CA. https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj80-fzj80-lx450-hdj81/798534-might-steal-93-locked-3300-a.html Even at $3,300 it's not going quick. I still have hopes of finding one of these cheap like the $1,500 one being parted out.

Thanks for the link. I see he also listed in the classified 80 series section with a couple of interested parties. One in CO so may be to late but @manycruisers has been on the boards a long time and trust him when he descripted his 80.

I remember back in 93 when I went to a Toyota tent sale on east Thomas. Salesman told me only 8% of the 80s imported had lockers which I find hard to believe. They are not that had to find. The cruiser I linked looks rough but the audio wiring wouldn't scare me. I would probably rewire it for a later stock unit anyway. I wired a adapter in for my daughter's 94 many years ago. The factory amp is on the right side of the glove box. There is also a second plug for a non external amp right behind the head unit. Chances are most do it the way I did using the plugs behind the head unit and leave the other harness alone. Installing a later unit like I have is simply plugging the later amp into the factory wiring and extending the harness between the amp and head unit so it will reach. My 89 FJ62 has the same later unit and it was all plug and play since the mounting location for amp in the Middle East premium sounds systems was close enough for factory wiring.
