Two Japanese imports prob close in age

Is $2500 too much to pay for a good running locked and lifted 80 on 35's with leaks, dents and rust issues?

Won't pass inspection in NH as it is. Lockers work. New exhaust but CEL because it is leaking badly at the manifold . 230K. 7 pin mod. Everything works except A/C due to frozen compressor.

It wasn't run much the last couple years so there's lots of rust scale besides the few holes n the rear cross member and body.

Close to you - buy it.

Yeah you didn't stay that long. I was surprised!

Who's running a diesel in their truck these days? I know @rapovt has a sweet set-up, and @SilverSixty is working on a cool build.

Does anyone have a diesel 70 series around here? I know there's a HZJ pickup in VT, and I think someone has a 70 series troopy in MA: diesel?

Just trying to learn a bit more about the success of conversions, viability of owning a diesel in New England, and what others experiences have been like.

Thanks, all!

I have a 1980 HJ47 diesel here in MA. Rutherford in Natick has a 70 series troopy currently being worked on....I believe he might do a cummins swap. Parts are expensive but can be found. Much of it is available in Australia so you can buy rarer new parts but you need to wait a couple weeks for the parts to arrive. Or call Kina in NH or Cruiserparts.net has a lot of diesel pieces but way overpriced.
