I pay $10 a year in taxes for my fj40. Is that a lot?

93 cruiser. Decent shape needs alt work and brake work. Pretty sure it has lockers. What's the going price? Friend was asking and I've seen prices all over the place on these things.

"Decent" shape is pretty subjective. No doubt others have better sense than I, but been trending pricing quite a bit over the past 3 years.

Rust and HG condition are key.
FWIW....
If no/low rust, lockers, and new HG my guestimate is: $7K for a "going price"
If >180K miles with OEM HG, (i.e. it needs one) subtract $2K
If moderate rust/rot subtract $2K
If no lockers.... subtract $1K
If Burgundy subtract $1K

Any aftermarket stuff or just stock?

My green 80 from Cali is registered at the Florida house. Cheap all around.

I should take the 40 title in and have it transferred before Kina gets through with it. It will hard to drive that to an estimate rand claim I only paid 1200.00 for it.

My Daily chat...... Equal tire balance powder sucks. Got it put in my 37's after guy at tire shop talking me into it. It didn't work. It was acutally way better with no weight at all. So for one the place didn't put in the proper valve cores with filter. It ruined my pressure gauage immediatly. So I went back to the shop and talked to the guy who talked me into the equal. He barely knew anything about the stuff but he sure did a good job at selling it to me and reassuring me it would be fine.

All and all I got my money back and made them break inner bead and suck all that s*** out with a vacuum. I went to another shop in town that does all large tires. my 37's where small for them. They balanced it with sticky weights on a Hunter balancer (fits up to 40" tire). The tires run perfectly smooth now. Rant over. Glad its all set now. Just wasted a lot of my time. live and learn..

Equal sucks.Everyone should know that. Tires have moisture in them.DUH! Guys an idiot.
Dyna beads are the way to go.

Yeah. The guy has never even used dyna beads before. The equal is not effected by moisture though. Although a powder it is "said" not to mix with water. I am just glad that stuff is out of my tires sooner than being a problem later.

Insturctions to air down a tire with equal is to put air into the tire before you deflate. That is a waste of time and annoying.

THat's bull! Thee are plenty of reports where it mixed with water and became concrete! It's a powder! DUH!

The equal balancing bags i used were beads and they balanced my tires pretty good. U sure that powder is called equal? Maybe they have both kinds under same name?

I was under impression that equal was in bags. When I had 37s mounted guy told me that. he also said that if I got water inside tire it would make it hard. So I never went with equal. So I am thinking its a powder inside a bag.

Bag of beads are dyna beads or other brand. Equal is powder that is in a bag then you drive and powder comes out of bag. Same process for bag of beads. Or some buy air soft pellets and pour through valve stem.

You can also use golf balls.

I got a message iH8Mud is closing! My life is ova! Crying!

I used them a few times in the past. They use to let you I. The yard to pick your own parts but not anymore. I usually went to the one in New Haven more often but would drive up to Southington occasionally. Since they don't let you in ther yard anymore I've been going to a different place in West Haven that let's you in the yard. Classic Used Auto Parts

Ok. Thanks. They have the engine listed on their site so its prob pulled out of vehicle already

Just bought the engine. Picking it up saturday. The service seemed good,
