Hey, where is everyone? : )
Looks like today will be a good one on the trails.

Where were you? We had a blast!

We had fun too, married off our daughter!

Problem is that most people who need said unobtainium are cheap

Would be cool tho...I knew someone who lived a couple houses down and had his own machine shop in his basement. That was cool!

True. No idea what the costs will be but it seems to be all automated for the most part. You could CAD design something then order one at a time as needed rather than carrying inventory. You really wouldn't need to invest a dime. Kinda cool:beer:

The way technology is progressing, you could cad a whole 40 and build it from scratch. It would be spendy now, but the prices will be a lot less in a very few years. If I was younger, I would plan on building mine from titanium.

I had thought about reproducing some low range 40 Tcase gears from one of these places. I could never find a set to use as a model though.

A couple of us are going wheeling Monday in the Henniker/Bradford/Warner NH area on Monday if anyone wants to join us. Nothing too serious, mostly Class VI with some challenges. Meet up at the Park & Ride off exit 2 on I-89 in Concord, NH on Monday around 10-11.

I live in Warner. Just curious what trails you run on? If I can cheat out of work I'd love to go.
You can PM me with trail locations if you'd like.
I spend most of the year skidding trees or plowing with my rig. The FG was a tease and I miss going out regularly. Oooh those were the days. If you guys have a break and need a garage, I am fully equipped.

We have decided to meet at 10AM at the Irving station on Route 3-A on the Bow/Concord line. It is about 1/2 mile north from where I-89 intersects with Route 3A and about 1/4 mile south off Exit 12S on I-93 in Concord, NH. People can gas up and get coffee, etc. I would like to be out of there by 10:10.

We will be going up to Henniker. If it is more convenient, we can meet others up there at the Mobil station on Rte 114 near the intersection with 202 & 9. Let me if you want to do that and we will plan on being there about 10:30 and waiting a few minutes for folks to show and make a plan.

There's quite a variety of trails and class VI roads in that area. Stock vehicles that are roadworthy should be OK as well as more modified rigs. I have a winch on my 40 if anyone gets stuck. As of right now, there are only 2 vehicles. I don't expect many more, so we should move along well with a small group.

My plan is to wheel from around 11-5 so folks can get back home by dark. There will be opportunities to break off from the group and head for home one or two times during the outing if people can't get out for more than 3-4 hours.

I would like to get up to the lookout to see the view one last time now that the foliage is at peak and before the leaves are gone. Other than that, I don't really care which roads/trails we go on. If anyone coming has some routes they want to do, that's OK with me.
