Last call for the 502 giveaway. I have about 10 entries including one forum member begging for 3 chances on a technicality. We'll see. There have even been international entries. The stove itself is on it's way to the East----East Coast Coleman Customs for the spa treatment and custom Toyota themed paint. It will retain all of it's stove goodness.
I'll put all the names in a hat and have some fair way to pick one---On Saturday. You can be assured that if you entered, you got a fair and equal chance at getting the stove. If you win the stove please post up a pic of FJ60Cam's excellent work, and a pic of it being used on some future trip.
Send me a PM to get on the list, and tell me where you plan to use it.
So we held the drawing for this stove at the Stockton Land Cruiser swap meet today and a winner was chosen. The process is shown here so that all can be assured strict protocols of fairness were followed.
Here are the entries:

It's impartial--here we are at the swap meet, that's Spresso on the left and AliA on the right:

So that's Kevin B. in Ft. Collins. Congrats Kevin. I'll contact you and get your address. Cam is doing the custom work now and then will send to you when done. Remember, you need to post up a pic of the custom job when you get it and a pic some time in the future when in use in the wild.
Awesome!!!!! Very excited and I will get pics up right away.
In return for such an great opportunity I have a 1974 220H lantern I would like to give away in the same fashion. I need to make sure it works first and will get the details posted up soon.
Picked up this Quadrant lantern at the goodwill store for $5.00. Still had all the little tools and extra mantles in the storage well. Very heavy, but will run on regular, unleade, Coleman fuel, etc.

Did a brief search and those "rosebud" type canisters are obsolete. I will see if the valve assembly is able to be broken down so that I can adapt a new fitting with threads. If not, then I've got a clean antique for sale.
There were about 8 different manufactures of the Military lanterns depending on the year. All were made to the same spec. Coleman's have a rep of being the best of those, but all are good. Coleman had the military contract '58-'59. That list is around somewhere.
Post some pics of it running. They are very loud as you will see.
