Did the 335s also come in RED ? I've never seen a 335 before ('round here)

Yes, but only very briefly at the beginning of production. I think all the red ones are from 1969. I've never seen one for sale, but then I've not looked hard on ebay either.

If you get one, they will take a normal 21 size mantle, but are brighter with a 99 size mantle. I am running Peerless mantles size 24A, which is Peerless' version of the 99 Coleman mantle.

This one is new to me - didn't know coleman did solar. Anyone with real world experience with these?

the price isn't bad - I may have to look into it.

Here's a lantern box I made for my '70 & '71 220F's. Sadly, these haven't seen much use since I've gone to the dark side (propane).

My '85 (to match my truck) 508. This was my go-to stove for a while because it is packs up so small and puts out so much heat. I even bought a second that I used for a second burner - I hate using the second burner on the big stoves since you don't have full control over it.

Sadly, this too got pushed aside after I discovered the propane adapter for the liquid stove.

I found this mint (at the time) '89 on Craigslist with a matching mint '89 lantern, with not-so-mint '89 fuel in the tanks.

One day I responded to a Craigslist ad for a bunch of stove and lanterns and parts. About a week went by before I got a response. He said I was the first to respond so I had first dibs. Turns out he worked near my office, so he even delivered them.

I wasn't quite sure how much he wanted for them until he showed up. Turns out it was all free! His wife bought out the leftovers from a repair shop that was out of business thinking she was buying him some ready to use camping stuff. None of it works. It all needs love, with the exception of a big brown lantern in a melted plastic clamshell that I sold to a friend.

The 413 is missing a tank, and the giant spare doesn't fit it. I am going to turn that into a true two-burner (with the evil propane adapter) using the two master burners from the 425's. I might keep an auxiliary burner in the middle for griddling. The 425's just don't have enough room for a big skillet and a second pot.

I am going to gut/clean/repaint the junk 425's and use them for camping storage!

Holy crap on the spares box.

I'm afraid you need to go back to liquid fuel.

I did notice your 425/propane set up and wondered why no love for the white gas.

Regarding your no tank situation-Old Coleman Parts has dozens of used tanks. Measure the distance between the tabs and order one. The 413 won't get all that hot on the Profane.

That's awesome! What's the middle lantern?

The others include a '79, a '69, an '84, and a '77, all 220's.

All look like they'd work with no-little love.

Anybody need any parts?!?

Cam-That 413 in your free pile is a nice early one with the round corners. probably in the range of 62-64. I'm certain you can get a tank for it easily.

This looks like the right tank, and it comes with the valve:

You would need to measure the tank tabs to be sure. Kind of a faux pas to run a nice old stove like that on the profane.

Good looking 200As. They make great camp lanterns because they are about the most fuel efficient of the lanterns yet put out enough light to be useful.

One other tip. Do not use Coleman mantles. They are junk. Peerless mantles are cheaper and much better, as in no comparison better.

Working nights in Ely. There was a yard sale down the street from my hotel. I picked up a portable bbq rack, a bunch of carbon fiber arrows, a Schrade pocket knife and a Coleman 502-700 sportster stove for $7. :)

You must be rubbing Buddha's belly ... (not in the Motel )

Those grills are super handy, btw.

Got this for uber cheap today, no, not a Colman, but old (or old looking) and in pretty good shape. Should go nicely with my growing collection of old camping stuff.

I found a Coleman Unleaded stove today for $5. I don't remember the number but the box compared the cost of different fuels they listed Unleaded gas at $1.20 per gallon so it must date from the 80's.
