You can get new screws for the fuel level sender from Toyota.

The lines and plastic piece are the vapor separator. It keeps liquid gas from getting in your charcoal canister.

"De-Smog" means different things to different people, but you absolutely want a functional vapor recovery system, unless you want your Pig to smell like raw gasoline vapor all the time...

I don't have a charcoal canister. If it wasn't so cold out, I'd go out an check where the lines go....or went. Is it worth getting a charcoal canister or just a vented cap if it's not there currently?

As long as the vapors are being aspirated, you won’t smell anything.
If it were me, I would check where the lines are going.
