Thanks. I am enjoying my leisurely Mustang leak investigation and hopeful fix. The rear main appears to be installed backwards and possibly some drivers side valve cover seepage. I'll get some new seals tomorrow and keep on trucking.....I mean reassembling.....

Was lazy today and didn't get much done on the Mustang. I did get the new rear main seal in and am waiting to check for any seepage. I'll get it back together this week.
Still need to get a New power steering line made.

Was a slacker all week, but got some crap done tonight. Replaced the leaky valve cover gasket. Got everything else ready to go back together. Gonna hit it in the morning.

No more signs of leakage this morning. The block plate and flexplate are back in and torqued with thread sealant on the flexplate bolts. The transmission is back in with everything tightened up.

Just need to reinstall the driveshaft, exhaust, and fill the transmission. First through, I need to fix this dog crap weld. I used a different exhaust shop and I regret this......welds by a shop should not look like this.
Here's a shot of my make shift transmission jack. I bolted this plywood to the jack and then ratchet strapped the trans to it. Work better then expected.

All finished and waiting to see if there's any leaks. Haven't run it yet. Gonna redo the exhaust hangers by the mufflers tomorrow morning.
Still need that power steering line and wire the trigger for the AC with the Sniper.......a few other small items as well.

Monsoon season is in effect here in AZ.......meaning humidity is way higher than normal. Makes the garage like a sauna.
Anyways, I added those exhaust hangers I was supposed to do last Sunday. Now the mufflers are properly supported and level.
Gonna hit it in the morning with hopes of finishing up a bunch of loose ends.

Made this bracket to house the 2 push buttons. The buttons allow you to get different functions in the gauges. The piece will fill this void between the column and the lower dash.

Here's the button panel in place. Now if only the gauge cluster would fit back in.......I swear this car hates me.

Thanks to the internet and boo hiss on the instructions. I found the fix to getting the gauge cluster to fit. You need to drill 2 holes in the dash structure for the studs on the back of the cluster. After that I got it in and screwed down.
Still need to tidy up some under dash wires and run and mount the ac duct.

Vent mount with duct finished. Turn signal switch wiring now hidden too. The brake pedal has more room with the Duct than appears. It's all good.

I've run the Mustang a few times today. So far......I am not seeing any leakage from the rear of the motor. No exhaust leaks either. Finally something goes my way.
