This took me way longer to install then I could have imagined, but it's done.....mostly. I installed the original style repop dome light. It also holds up the center of the headliner. Getting everything lined up was a hassle. It does function now, but I left the bulb and cover off. This way the light won't remain on with the doors open.

Wired the turn signal switch and plugged that in. The horn and hazards work. No turn signals possibly because the rear wiring is not connected yet.

Ran the motor for the longest time so far. The fans both turned on. It was running kind of hot.....might have an air bubble. It did get into the learning mode. Battery voltage was like 13.8 then fell off to like 12.4, so maybe the alternator is not charging.

Got a 4 day weekend. Plan is to get as much done as possible. Need to install the fancy gauge cluster and stereo. Possibly go for a drive if all goes well. 🤔

While running the motor the other night, I was checking the temperature with my temp gun as well as watching the Sniper screen. The 2 readings were very different. The Sniper is reading a much higher temperature.

I am planning to install the gauge cluster this weekend. We'll see what that gauge has to say.

In the meantime, I filled the rear diff. No leakage so far.

Jack, is the bottom of the hood a different color or is it just the way the light is hitting it?

The bottom of the hood is black. It came that way and looked nice, so I decided to leave it black.

After a long day of tracing wires and deciphering wiring diagrams, my friend Jay and I got the gauge cluster mostly installed and somewhat tested. Thanks again for you help Jay.

There's still a few items to deal with before I install it into the dash. It's beer thirty now....more to come tomorrow.
