Couple coats for the door jams, inner door panel area and cowl. I really like this blue.

All unmasked and back on the ground. It's going for a ride to the exhaust shop tomorrow.

It's the rebuilt motor that came with this 68. Not sure if it's a 289 or 302. There's some other things that seem suspect with it. My friend had a better motor and that's whats in the 68 now.

Exhaust turned out great. I still have a few items to deal with before running it again. I can't wait to hear it roar. Coming soon.

Its called Ultra Pearl Blue...... Summit brand. 68 is back in the garage. There's a line of projects waiting their turn.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody

Getting the fiberglass for the rear fitted. The drivers side quarter was replaced at some point.....not a great job. So fitting the corner piece will require some work.

Got the driver rear quarter panel extension all fitted and gaps filled. Fixed the door handle mounting area. It's not perfect but my flaws will be covered by the handle.
Also did a generic front toe adjustment as it was way off. Should be easier to roll now.

Played with the new steering wheel. I need a new nut to secure the adapter hub, but I just wanted to see it installed. Horn button not installed yet.

Test fit these new mirrors. They're repops that came in the parts stash. They fit pretty nicely. The drivers door had nut inserts and uses small bolts. The passenger side just used sheet metal screws. That was pretty weak. I drill them out to except some nut inserts......much better now.

Located and drilled the deck lid for the emblem. I also fired it up for the first time with the exhaust. Sounds pretty good so far.
I also wrapped the power steering lines to protect them from the header. First pic is looking from front to firewall, then the reverse.

It's just dual 2 1/4 pipes and generic turbo style mufflers.

I swapped the air cleaner lid and added a cool oem style sticker. I can feel the horsepower increase......

Hopefully gonna make some progress this weekend.

Got the deck lid to fit the best I can. Fiberglass parts are no fun with their horrible fitment. Then primed it.
Painted the front bumper arms. These are modified ones to fit the Shelby nose.
I also got a new fuel kit. The old one despite my cleaning and inspection sprung a leak.
