Peter would use those large "lawyer" words like "proprietary" to protect his unique snorkel inlet covers. I however stole a peek at Cullman.

To make a certain "Sr. Statesman from Georgia" happy, I am posting a small update.

First, the 74 is getting a new home base. Closed on this place a week or so ago. A garage will be built in the open space in front of the Dodge ....

It belongs to my son and at least it's a Toyota. Amazing considering he works for Nissan.

Needs a surrey top.

Toyota should have stopped with the previous generation of Tacoma's.

I finally compl;eted the basic installation of my Trail-Tailor rear bumper system. Between a work schedule that has been insane, buying a house form an elderly couple - one of whom we were concerned might pass before closing, and now getting contractors set up to do some significant work, what should have been a short and simple exercise became alost a one month endeavor consisting of 15-20 minute sessions strung together ... the pictures speak for themselves with the system nively engineered.

I need to add a highlift, an antenna, and my work light, but everything else is good to go. I tweaked the bumper in too places
  1. I drilled holes so that the pins that are used to hold the swing out open can also act as backup latches should the primart latches fail or get damaged.
  2. I bought some adhesive backed 1/32" thick UHMW sheet to make wear patches for the point where the swing arms are cinched down and for the pins (listed in item 1) to ride on as the arms are opened or closed.
Overall, very pleased with the setup. :grinpimp:

The tailpipe fits like it was designed for the bumper. It would be perfect if the tailpipe was 1/4 inch longer. The second and 4th picture shows how good the fit is ....
