Man I hate you right now lol. Did you take a trip to the brewery or did you just order the mugs from their website? I got several bottles of CBS back in 2011, but I just didn't have the strength to hunt it down this go around haha

I still have one 2011 left that I never got around to drinking. I'm sure it is bad now. I'd be curious to see what it tastes like if anyone is interested

I'l trade you a new one for your old one. Depending on how you stored it, it should be fine.

No the local beer store had founders reps mugs were free with purchase.

It should definitely still be good because I cellar all of my beers properly. I may take you up on that offer if you are seriously interested - Have you tried it yet this year? I was out of town this weekend on a camping trip, but heard some places in town had it tapped yesterday

I've tried this years on tap, it was less sweet than I remember the 2011 being but had a stronger coffee flavor to it. Overall I think this one may have been better. But hard to tell from memory 6 years ago. LOL

Holy wow this is a tasty one.
6.0% so you can have another.

Good to know. OC is one of the original VT micros, but has been sold off to Ling Trail (I think). Lately I have found their lack of innovation and growth a bit disappointing, but I may need to seek this one out now.

To be fair Rice fed me a 90 min before this one so......

Finished off the last Alchemist last night....stash lasted almost 4 months, sad times.

Ringing in the new year with a new offering from my very favorite brewery here in NC. This brew is very nice. It's got everything I love about farmhouse ales, it's sour, hoppy, slightly fruity (obviously grape), oaky, and funky. This one even has a little plantain (banana?) aftertaste, it's really cool.

Another great one from Haw River.
