1FZs have a gear driven pump. Very reliable but to my knowledge are not able to modify for more pressure.
I run hydro assist on mine 😉 works well overall, best at over 1000 RPM with a 1.5” ram
My guess is you will want a 2” ram = needs more line pressure.

I have no doubt you will get this figure out and hopefully I will learn something.

I think Toyota Diesels have an external belt driven pump. Easier to modify.

His is in the motor like a 1FZ but this is why Jason gets paid the big bucks…if it was easy I could do it. I’ll stay in my lane.

Hopefully Jason is willing to shed some light on the subject for those of us that don’t have the big bucks and have to build our own. 🤠

@orangefj45 also told me he had some 411 on the Black Box to share for road use
I was curious what the plan was for the Black Box so you could do road miles. Oil pump, cooler, tank, etc

I think with the full length Black Box he should be ok, it takes a lot more fluid than the intergrated one that goes to the toy case, but we shall see.

What the driveline going to be you ask?

A few months ago I got a killer deal on a set of DS Trac axles. These are Dynatrac copies made in Brazil.

Big heavy ass axles with 35 and 40 spline axles and air lockers. 5.38 gears.

I’ll be running 40s but these knuckle draggers will be equivalent to running 38s on a normal size axle.

That said I’m not chasing pounds on this truck. Durability is the goal versus light.

I’ve been really curious about these axles. Never seen any in person. I’m excited to see how they work for you. Aside from the details you mentioned, anything else special/custom with the set you picked up?

No, mine were configured for a 4 door Jeep to bolt in. I’ll probably have 5-6 hours labor to cut all the brackets off.

I actually thought last night about what it would take to make the rear one work with that bracketry and do coils v springs then I fell asleep.

The quality looks good. They are absolute monsters.

Nolen, just a data point on the carb, we did fine at Moab with angles up to 30DEG as indicated and had no fueling issues. Downside to the carb is it makes my 2F Sniper 60, loaded with a RTT and camp gear look like a hybrid from the fuel consumption perspective. The 75 is returning 11.5mpg on the highway versus 14.7mpg in the 60. We did a back to back comparison, both rigs running the same tires and lift.

^^^^ This is a great idea and a much better way to control axle rap/ hop IMO

And plenty of off the shelf long travel kits you could incorporate.

Jason is in to try it as am I. Just looking for a nice stable rear for the road.

Leaf springs are for poor people
