Well the head is on but I neglected to order the six long head bolts and ordered 26 shorts. I never said I was smart.
So that's a bummer, but it's in place. FSM says the old bolts can be reused but that's not my jam. Ordered up six longs and a few odds and ends (sensors, pully, ect)

Well, Tony and myself said our goodbyes this evening.
He is off to the airport somewhat early tomorrow to fly over seas for his next stint.
Super stoked to have been able to work with him on the FTE, it has been a great week for that. Didn’t get everything we wanted donee but we got A LOT done! Twice now he has come to the shop and worked on this project, he is a real trooper, puts his head down and gets it done.
Glad we could do this, glad he got to go wheeling with us last weekend on Idahos best trail, glad he got his hands on his baby.
A couple videos inbound of him driving a GTurbo fitted FTE for his first time!

Alrighty, so Tony had the privilege of getting behind the wheel of @jmlockwood HDJ80 build this evening. It was more than a week leading up to this since Tony came to town. We pulled it off though and he got to drive the 1HDFTE/H152 combo!

Heads torqued down, cam and rocker assembly installed. Next up, injectors, timing belt and bolt ons.

So after the injectors and timing belt install it was time to adjust all the valves.
We did that, installed spill tube (overflow) and then realized we have the wrong intake studs.
Next move is install the intake manifold and injection pump hard lines. This FTE is a Euro spec though and came from a 100 so it had a funky intake shutter assembly we are not using. Hence the long studs, once we get the right studs we can continue with this part of assembly.
In the meantime there are other parts to bolt on and rebuild.

Vac pump getting rebuilt, housing was vapor honed and got clear cerakote after.
Exhaust manifold got a special high temp cerakote on the outside and a special coating on the inside. The inside coating is supposed to really help with temps.
