New steelies, caps and KOs. The rear calipers required some massaging (grinding) to fit the 15" rims. The fronts bolted right on.

Special thanks to @lowtideride for the parts!

So I am just now noticing the Pig door among all the grave markers. Your shop is near a tombstone business? Or a grave yard... (insert Scooby Doo music here)
Zoinks! The monument company is just down the street. They do all my sandblasting.

Alright, you have been working on it. looking forward to crawling under it and seeing how you did that swap.

Jokes aside, @lowtideride, @bcmotor Gunnar, Frank and Pete the body guy are the craftsmen behind this project. I'm the parts supplier.

I know I'd just be in the way, but feel like jumping in and helping with this one! I used to pull all nighters working on the 40, getting it ready for the big camping trip. I believe you'll make it. :)

Make what-is there a deadline approaching for completion?

I'm wondering who gets to drive this great truck when it's done. Will it be Mel, Lowtide, or some other lucky fellow?

Mel,

That's the a/c several of us have. I've got a little summer use on mine. I'd like to know what you think after you use it in the Summer.

I have been running the stock 55 gas tank with a external walboro 255 pump. It works ok but lacks the instant response of an in tank pump. To correct this, I'm having a tank built that will utilize the factory in tank pump, sump and sending unit. Pictured is the mockup.

In an effort to tuck the wheels under the body, I'm switching form stock 15" 40 steelies to early 16" Tundra steelies. I run these on my flareless 80, they tuck under the body nicely. I'll be adding a set of tall/ skinny Km2 and the 40 hubcaps, to complete the look. I'm borrowing the hubcap clips from old 40 rims for the tundra wheels.

Mel,

Is the tank getting mounted in the stock position and looking at it from your picture, is the other side tapered up for ground clearance? I've got a 60 gallon tank with the back sloped up and it still will hit rocks, at least in Moab. Alum. or steel? I'm assuming this means you might not make the party?
