Hey guys in a bit of a pickle here. I'm having issues registering my 1993 HZJ73 in Texas.

First question, does anyone know where I can get my export certificate translated and notarized? I have the translation but its not official.

Second question: The tax and revenue office says that I need a title or bill of sale, the invoice/export certificate will not suffice. How can I go about getting a bill of sale if its from a Japanese auction?

I have imported to Guam with the same documents I have now and it was no issue.

There is no getting around it. Hope you can get the BoS from the Japanese seller.

They will ask for a bill of sale or title, main thing they want is documented proof of how much you paid for taxing purposes. I had this issue when I attempted to change the title of my FJ73 to my name and didn't have any way to show the tax clerk how much I paid for it. The only way to fix it was to go back to the seller and get a bill of sale.
