This design of seals have been used for over a decade on GM 25-3500 ( ford too if memory serves ) rear diff full floaters I’ve changed 3 in the last 10 years usually one side go’s bad some time the customer wants to do one side sometimes both. The design makes sense you’re essentially making the wear item the seal itself and not the surfaces of the spindle or axle.How reliable do you think they'd be on US-market, full-time 80s regularly doing freeway speeds? Are they used in tractors on high-speed (relatively) shafts?
