I see..

It is an OBD II scanner that plugs into the black port at the very bottom of your dash just left of the steering column and reads, displays and clears check engine lights. Great diagnostic tool.
more toys....:D

I have even more reason to do this mod now since I just got a CDL (Hazard) switch in the mail yesterday. Now I can do the 7 pin mod too.......
Good idea. I was going to try and do the temp gauge at the same time as I install my new stereo. Not sure if it will make it easier or not, but will be good to knock out two things. Should've thought to do the cdl at the same time :meh:

Got new belts, idler pulley, cap, rotor and plugs coming from cdan this week....pretty sweet Saturday

Still need to do the following (maybe before summer???): new fan clutch, front locker harness, CDL switch, new battery, starter rebuild, phh, diff breather extension, brake line upgrade including bleeders and flush. Should probably also do the rear axle as well. THEN, finally I get after sliders, arb or slee bumper and a skid plate.

Just a quick note, if you use a Hazard switch for the CDL you will have to do a little trim to your harness plug. The Hazard switch needs two grooves in the top while the CDL only needs 1 groove. So the harness has a little block at the beginning of the second groove and I simply took a little utility saw and took the small block out with ease.
