When did DATIN go up on their front bumpers? DangI thought they were $250 not $350?

Yep gas going up to.

Supply and demand. We need to order more...or less. Whatever makes more sense!

Would anyone know why since I am using Google Chrome as my browser that I can't use the smilies?

Also I can't change the font nor font color.

No biggie but I liked to add the smilies for emphasis :)

In case it makes a difference I have a Mac.

I'm using Chrome and have no problems using smilies:p, but I'm a PC:D

I've been thinking about a MAC, but no smilies might be a deal killer:crybaby: J/J they're sweet!:):):):):):):)

Sorry for rubbing it in:cheers:

Is it a 22re or r? I know mine has a limiter build in. It's pretty high though! I would say around 6500-7000rpm

Especially with that doubler. Really watch it on drops and downhills.

I used to hit my rev limiter a lot when I didn't have a tach. Now that I have a tach, I have taken mine up to around 6k and stopped myself because it was scary. I guess they are ok for high rpm, but it still worries me.

When I do hit it and let off....I always get a backfire that sounds like it hits the bottom of the tub. Pretty cool really. Still scary though!

Looking online, it looks like it comes in somewhere around 6200-6500. Weird thing is, I don't think I ever hit it on my first engine. Interesting that I have hit it on this engine. This engine is a '94, uses the same computer, harness, dizzy, and the ignition uses a dumb accel coil. So basically, there is no difference between the engines besides a few connectors.

On the net, it is saying that 85 and up has the limiter, but not everyone agrees. Maybe it's a hit and miss thing. Regardless, I don't think you'll see any power at those high rpms....just create tire spin and break something when they decide to stop suddenly.

MSD and some others make an ignition system with a limiter. Seems like a hassle though.

yea i dont know what the 22re can take my buddys in hi school took some hi rpms in the mud i rember one night we had his downey headers glowing red :P held it screaming for what seemed like for ever haha, but ireved the buggy hi tack went to 6500 easy , i will try look up somthing on msd see what they have are any one else has that works

I saw something about Jacob pro street or something like that. I think they make a system for celicas.

Since I am dealing with a lot of things right now anyway, I figured I might as well address another issue I've been having.

When my truck sits and idles for awhile, it will start loping. The idle will drop like it will die, then speed up to normal. It's not like the brake surge you get when the idle is too high. This is a much slower process and only happens when the truck is warm and sits and idles for 5 minutes or more. If I go and give it some gas, it responds just fine, but will eventually start loping and shuttering again. This really doesn't cause a problem, I am just thinking I can address it while I am working with the intake, etc. I know I don't have any vacuum leaks, I checked using carb cleaner the other night. I found one leak where I forgot a hose. I replaced the hose and checked for leaks again and found nothing. It still started loping again after idling for 5-10 minutes. This happened on both intakes.
