A while back I was talking to someone who had a new in the plastic bag rubber seal for the tailgate handle. I was talking with them about creating a stensel off of the new one, but I can't remember who it was I was chatting with!!!! Anybody out there have the tailgate handle rubber from which I could create a stensel and then pass along to everyone else to do the same?

Also what is everyone doing with the gasket for the door locks tumbler? I am about to try to make some and would love to get some advise.
 
I bought his door handle rubbers and am about to buy his rear fixed window rubber, but I didn't know that he had the tailgate. I'll check with him. There was someone who had posted a picture of a Toyota one in the bag.

Sure would be nice to pass a stensil around.

Honda!! Yea that will be really cool! Thanks Pablocruise. I kinda jumped to that spot in your POTM. I had seen your tailgate lock rubber fix along time ago and had forgotten. I unfortunately don't have enough of the old gasket left to make a new one, but was thinking about using the bicycle tube as you had suggested.

Can't recall if Moviestar has the gasket intact or not but the bike innertube route may be in my future. Hope a stencil appears.

Do you mean the gasket for the front door lock cylinders? The honda gasket and piece you show above will not work on the front door gaskets, you need a thin, flat gasket material - real thin. I would try bicycle inner-tube as well, but it is so small it will be some delicate cutting.

Didn't this thread start out asking about the gasket under the tailgate handle? Just checking!
 
Turns out that SLOCruisers has them!! Jackpot! I just pulled the trigger!! 1 rear door fixed window seal, 1 taigate handle rubber, and seals for all the door locks. He gave them to me free too!



Just kidding. This is the second time that I have talked with him and it is always a pleasure dealing with him.

I did not see the tailgate handle rubber on the SLO Cruisers website?
