Thanks :p

Don't know if you can tell but I took a picture of the profile of my truck and just used that to base the icon off of. Its barely noticeable but it makes me happy :flipoff2:

I didn't notice that but that's awesome. I have a 92 and was reading that this is for the newfangled 93-97 switches but I'm going to figure out a way to make it work on my 92. :zilla:

It's a balmy 40 degrees today so I'm going out to wire my hood led right now. It came with a set of two led strips about 8" long with 3M tape on the back. Tested it out and it's a mod that I hopefully will never use (lights under the hood, at night, not in my garage).

I don't think the earlier dash switches use icon inserts but instead are molded into the switch. Could be wrong. If they are inserts then if you could give me the EXACT dimensions of the insert then I can build up a sheet for the earlier dashes.

Rear defrost insert in 15/16"W x 7/16"T

I have three blanks where I plan to use defrost switches for lights.

@LS1FJ40 are those the only types of switches in the truck? I'm fairly certain the sizes are going to be metric. They need to be exact or else it looks goofy when printed out. I will also need to know the radius of the insert and I need to get the exact spacing for the light on the defrost switch so that its not covered up.

Ok. Let me get correct measurements. And pics of other switches. Thanks.

Much better than your maxipad label which I was going to use anyway but now I'll wait.

Great work on the labels! I'm totally using these on all those switches i've been collecting on my 80! My wife probably thinks I've gone crazy over the last few weeks with all my rummaging through salvage yards for various switches and wiring harnesses.

I've got an arduino (microcontroller) project I'm working on that adds a whole bunch of sensors, actuators, and displays to my fj80. I want to make everything be completely hidden and/or appear as close to stock as possible. I'm definitely nerding out my truck (i'll post code/programs, and hardware components, and tutorials).

Currently, i've got the following sensors set up: temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, various gas sensors (LPG, CO, CH4, and combustible gas/smoke), tiny gps unit (with sat time lat long, altitude), as well as 3-axis accelerometer (I also have various proximity sensors). I want to have various alarms and/or events triggered for various hazards/conditions.

Good Day All

I have an Emergency Hazard Switch for 1997 80 seires that I would like to relable to AUX FUEL TANK. I do not have a printer and would like to know if anyone here can print the relable to size. I can send my switch if needed.

It would probably be easier/quicker/cheaper to go to FedEx Kinkos and ask them to print the labels for you.

I have an inkjet at home. Laser printers at school.

@NLXTACY

Reviving an old thread here...
but I have some new goodies and am planning on more to wire up with factory style switches...

Any chance of adding a few more to the PDF sheet?
- Mirror lights (mirror icon with a light symbol) for those with the nifty mirror cornering light mounts...
- DRL (text)
- LED Lightbar icon
- DIM/STROBE text with a tiny LED Lightbar icon? (for LED light bars with that function, i.e. Baja Designs)
