Phew ...... Made it thru 4 hours of surgery and pretty much according to plan. They had to remove part of his kidney but managed to keep and repair the rest. He's grumpy and not very comfortable but doing good. Morphine must be amazing stuff .......
Thanks so much for all the crossed fingers, well-wishes, prayers, email,calls, pms and positive thoughts. We appreciate it more than you know.
We should be home by this weekend if all goes well.

I am sure your son will be in good shape in no time.
...and the Fact that Daddy is there to take care of him will make him a stronger boy.

His surgeon just stopped by to check on him. Said he's looking really good, expecting a full recovery. Wants us walking the hallway in a couple if hours and send us home as early as tomorrow afternoon. I hope so. There's no cafeteria in this building and I can't leave. Guess I'll loose a couple of pounds since they're only bringing food for Garrett. No biggie. At least the little man is recovering well.
