That looks pretty good for a 40 something year old trailer! The floor is in better nick than mine and it has the headboard. With the exception of the hole on the LHS, and what I assume were bow support posts, it looks pretty original and complete.

The worst of it seems to be on the tailgate and in areas that you were considering changing anyway.

If the coil is good you might be able to fix the contacts or moving parts.

FJ25s and FJ40s came with metal covers. The 45s (exactly what year-range and why I am unsure) came with clear plastic covers.

Funny, our 1963 Fj45v came with the steel cover.

I presume covers are extremely rare, if not unobtainable.
Will look into Moulding and fabrication.

From the 64 Land Cruiser repair manual.... looks like a metal cover...not completely sure which units got the metal vs plastic. I believe my brothers 66 FJ40 has a clear plastic cover as well as 65 & 66 FJ45LPB's. the 63 FJ45 SWB had the metal cover.
