Scott,

As you exit Oceano Dunes, there's a gas station down the street where you can air up.

Regards

Is there a place to air up the tires when leaving the area? Or does one just bring their own pump/CO2?

As Alvaro said, I think it's the Chevron station that has lots of air hoses at the pumps.

Hey Bulldog-yota, i'll take that candy :D

AIR SUPPLY!
Closest - As you exit the beach in Oceano (Pier Ave.) there is a liquor store on the left that has air for $.50.

next closest - If you drive down Grand Ave, there is a 76 gas station about six blocks east from Highway 1, i beleive they charge for air as well but if you get gas they will give you a token for the machine.

next after that - Chevron on 13th and Grand Ave. Air hoses are no longer located on the pumps but at the back curb. If you're sneaky and look around there is a hose coming from under the rollup door by the bathrooms on the right. Air is free and fast.

looking forward to this weekend it's  time!

 SETHZILLA!

Scott, if you can't find any air just look me up and I'll hook you up with my CO2 tank. There is more air at this event than people can use. My rig is the purdy green one with an FZJ80 sticker on the back.

See you Sat.

E - you have to bring in your own water. Campsites out on the dunes are dry.

At pole 6 according to the SnT website. :D

Get on the beach, turn left along the surf and head down approx. 3 miles. Believe me, you won't miss this group! God I can't wait!

I don't think you can miss the spot

yes, but maybe there is some water at the entrance or a ranger station of some sorts or a public restroom nearby?

Here is a quote from Jim:
I'm not sure, becuase I fill up at home. If all else fails the
"Bananna Boys" cruise the dunes in trucks pulling trailers selling
fresh water, ice, fire wood and holding tank pump outs. (Well they
don't sell the holding tank pump outs but you know what I mean.)

This is "civilized" primitive camping.

If you are coming into the dunes at the Pier Avenue ramp there is a left turn about half way between HWY 1 and the beach. It crosses a little bridge and goes by a small City owned campground. It think they may have water there. However, more interesting is the fact that they have public coin operated showers.

It's a block or two South of Pier Ave entrance into the dunes and not alot of people know about it.

I hope that this isn’t a stupid question, but if you have to check in at the entrance does it close for the night? Can someone still enter after 10pm, because I looked at the link and it appears as if the office closes at 5pm?
