I think Las Chiches means titties in spanish, I call them las chi chi's. Anyway, this is one of the two titties, I'm taking the picture from one as Sethzilla stands on the other. You can see these outcrops from Pozo.

Sam, I should be good to go for the convoy Friday morning at 0930. Let me know if the meeting place/time changes. Oh yeah, I can cruise on the highway at 70+ unless there is (1) a headwind or (2) anything that resembles a slight uphill. Just don't want to hold anyone up.

Katherine and I just got back from a sunset pre-run. It was
beautiful!

They didn't sell out camping spots this weekend and it was in the 80s
with off shore breezes. The rangers don't expect to sell out next
weekend either. The crowds are diminishing.

There is no creek. And no rain in the forecast. I did notice that
the sand isn't very high between the surf and the lagoon in the area
where the creek should be. When that happens it means really high
tides and big waves can wash over the entire beach. Its best to hang
out and let the tide pass if that's happening.

A ridge of high pressure is suppose to break down, ending our off
shore breezes and extra warm weather by Wednesday or Thursday. That
means the marine layer will return with morning fog and overcast. I
expect it will be great weather for cruisers!

I pre-ran the poker check points and will be providing maps for the
shot gun start, unguided, free for all. The sand was great, some firm
and some soft wind blown. I was surprised by the amount of untracked
dunes for a Sunday evening. I stopped to yank a high centered Jeep off
a pile of sand. There are some awesome bowls.

Basically, everything looks perfect! I'm picking up the shirts and
stickers tomorrow. I've already got the dash plaques.

Stopped at Trader Joes on the way home and picked up a bottle each of
Patron and Cazadores.

Yeah, I'm excited.

Sounds good, Personally I don't want to go much over 70mph b/c of gas $$ use the 40's as motivation to keep the gas mileage as high as possible.

Sammy and DBS311,

I'll be bringing up the rear... 5.29's and 37's have me right around 12 "0' clock on the tack at 75 -80ish... that’s 3 grand and bye bye fuel. So I was expecting to see you all fade off in to the distance as I bring up the rear around 65 to 70 looks better around 25k on the tac. That 5k makes a big difference on the gas!

Jim, thanks for the info and pre run pics. Does this mean Seth is a nipple? :D

I'll be there thursday setting up with Jim, look for Hellion and her matching trailer! You'll know it when you see it!

 SETHZILLA!

Jim,

Tide chart has high tide as just before 11:00 am if memory serves. Biff and I, and probably other Saturday morning arrivees, will be arriving around 9, two hours before high tide. Given your description above, looks like we should be ok getting past the 'creek/lagoon area' prior to high tide???

You're doing an awesome job again Jim. Kudos!

Can't wait.

well if you can do 70 mph you will be light years past me i top out at 60mph downhill with a tailwind. I spoke with Sam and he thought that the 40's going slow would help his MPG. We will see how well the new head i got is doing and if i can run it a little faster this time.

going slow in the slow lane

did a thorough check of the rig
lovingly smeared grease on the knuckles

started to fill up the rear already... (man, so much and I'm sure I'll still forget the important stuff... I can probably start a new garage business with the stuff I'm carryin' around.... )

can't wait to get stuck in the sand.... :D (will take a big shovel along, can use the exercise.... :) )

anybody with kids (girls! no stinkin' testosterone addled boys...! :D ) in the 9-14 y.o. range or so, feel free to PM me so we can have the kids looking foward to meet if you'd like...

Mr. Moderator - you coming out of the closet at SnT? :princess: :D

Sorry Eric, couldn't resist poking fun.

With closing the books this week at work, I can't even think about having fun until we're done Thursday.
