So, is there going to be any wi-fi in camp? Can we do a "Live from Surf & Turf"?
Alternately, would there be a coffee shop in town with free wi-fi, free-trade coffee and organic scones?

Is there any sort of caravan from So Cal, Friday AM?

Shawn

Damn.

I'm out.

Crazy lotion girl tore a muscle in her back and I need to stay home to take care of the kids.
If someone would like to pick up my hoodie and deliver it to west San Jose I'd appreciate it. Otherwise Jim, you can pass it along to this guy next time you're up in the city:

Shipwreck,

Are you in Saratoga or San Jose? I live in Los Gatos.

yes there is. The leader of our clud, LA Country Trailcrew 4x4 club, is leaving Fri morning. pm me and I'll give you his cell number. I think he might have 2 rigs going up together.

So I heard that Pismo is requiring trucks to have flags this year? I also heard that there are SnT flags? If so, where could I get one before going onto the sand.

Hey. I have my son this weekend and am thinking about running down on Friday evening, coming back on Sunday. I don't have my old camping gear, but have pads to sleep in the 80. A few questions:

1) Do they have pit BBQ's there to cook on?
2) How do you decide what camp to stay in (blue v. other)?
3) Is it Kid friendly for a 7 year old?

Thanks,

Cary

Cary,
There are no pits where we camp, just sand. At night there is a big community fire where most people sit and there are kids there. The people drinking are usually not rowdy and those that are usually have their own camp fires going. Where you camp is totally up to chance. Rigs form circles, lines, and random sites as more people show up. Best bet is to camp next to someone else that has kids.
I also have plenty of extra camping gear. pm me if you are missing something critical and I can bring along extras.

1) No. If you want a pit, dig one.
B) It's all just one big camp
III) Yes. Very.

Alright, will confirm with my son when I see him tonight that he wants to go. He has a Birthday part at 11:00 on Sunday (his best friend) so will have to bail out early. I should be good for sleeping and stuff, we have pads, bags, and pillows for in the 80, have a cooler, just need a place to cook hot dogs or burgers.

I am also looking into this. If you find out before I do, please post up where you are buying.

I will let you know if I find anything local.

We'll be heading up around noon friday and the we'll have some Trasharoo stock with us for anyone that doesn't have one by now.

Look for the big Kangaroo crossing sign in the sand :D

We're bringing a gas skillet (and a gassy Skillet). Stick you head into camp blue whenever you want and the skillet is all yours.

It's also very likely you could score a breakfast burrito if you were around at the right time.

I believe I've got all the brake parts I need. I'm at 99% sure to be good, but I've still got most of a day of wrenching between here and there.

I'm in the same boat with the cooking situation. I may have to buy a stove

Thanks.

I found some 72" flag poles at Wal Mart for ~$5/ea. I grabbed two of them, in case one breaks.
