I will be in the big toyhauler next to Skillet with the loud mufferless generator running 24/7 in case I need a quick snack, I will have my Bronco with the stack pipe on it, playing Death Metal.

I will be in the white '93 Land Cruiser. So will about thirty others, I imagine.

Speaking of loud music, will there be any bands playing?

You will be drinking Tequila if I find your camp:D

I got a big bottle of tequila from costco early this year they won't take it back why i don't know,i will bring it if somebody drinks it.i can only handle a couple shots anyway.LOL:cheers::clap:

I have 28 SNT flags for sale @ $10 each. They are 2 sided, measure 11 x 14, and they're pretty heavy duty. If u want to reserve one, pm me. Otherwise, I'll have a sign at camp that says FLAGS 4 SALE, and I'm in the badkitty (just look 4 the leaping cat)

Marker 6 your cant miss it ( unless its early and the fog rolls in ) We will be camping near Skillet, Nat, The other Rob and Monnie, we have another 4 rigs coming for there first SnT. ITS AWSOME :bounce: and yes theres always music going on somewhere. Not to toot my own horn BUT maybe this year its time for live performance of " The Night Surf n Turf was Born "

Where is the group going to be situated, exactly? Any particular markers? I already know what you (especially your rig) and Skillet look like;

Like Rob said, mm6. The group will be big enough so you can't miss it. There will be a ring of camp trailers and a mile marker sign a la M*A*S*H.

Check the Skillet map on page 1 of the thread for the tequila dropoff location. :) Hint: due east of the Pismo Jim/fire/sand chef/trailer ring.

4BTA. Awesome.

That's going to put you on the beach right at high tide. Take pictures.

geez, do I have to say that every year...? :

Put your MUD nick on your shirt or cap! Duct tape a badge of honor for gear heads...! :)

you may not want to meet me, understandably, but lots of people want to meet you! (well, maybe not, but what can I say, I'm a nice guy... :D )

We need to meet finally this year.

I am going to need to know a couple details of the layout on the place, for the wife and kids' sake, if I am going to make it happen this year.

- Parking and lounging for Cruiser, wife and baby (11 months) and toddler (4 years). I am not bringing a trailer, and will more than likely be staying at the sister-in-law's house, so tent space will not be required.

- Safe place for wife and kids while I am out on the dunes. I would rather that they get to have a good time as well, especially if I am planning on making a return trip next year.

Hope to see everyone there this year, and thanks in advance for any help with the above.

Surf N Turf is about as wife, baby and toddler friendly as possible. Bring comfortable chairs, beach blanket, and sand box toys. There will be many kids and a designated play area. Check out the Surf N Turf FAQ.

Remember Pismo is a tourist town so there are plenty of distractions for every taste. For ideas, check out the Pismo Beach Web Site

For example...

Monarch Butterfly Grove
Similar to Cruiserheads at Surf N Turf...
Each year thousands of vibrant orange and black Monarch Butterflies flock to Pismo Beach, seeking shelter from the freezing northern winters. The butterflies cluster in the limbs of a grove of Eucalyptus trees at Pismo State Beach. The grove is easily accessible. It is located on State Highway 1 at the south boundary of the city limits of Pismo Beach.

November 6 - 31st Annual Marching Band Review
BandReview.jpg

Marching Bands from around the area compete in several divisions in this annual event. Bands compete on Dolliver between Hinds and Main Streets from approximately 9:00 to 12:00. Awards will be presented on the pier at 1:30 p.m.

Beware, this is a major Traffic PITA and it also fills up many hotel rooms.

Or....

You may be best served by simply providing a high limit credit card and directions to Pismo Beach Outlets.

You had me at "Or....".

Thanks for the head's up, Jim. It would appear as though she already has a good familiarity with the shopping environment in the area, so she'll feel right at home.

My 11 year old boy should be along for the fun

Anybody coming from the Claremont area that could give my 19 year son a ride up on Friday? He'd like to hang out for a day or two and is hoping to attend Sand Chef.

Any leads appreciated!
