Brent you doing the usual Sat. 5am departure? Anyone else leaving in the AM on Sat.?

Stan and I are planning a Thursday departure this year! New position here at work no longer has me tied down at month end any longer! :bounce:

Time of departure is up in the air at this point, but a leisurely drive to Pismo on Thursday is in order. We'll definetely leave after rush hour from south OC tho! If anyone else is willing to leave Thursday, we can arrange a caravan. Post up and let me know.

I'll be heading out on Thursday around 12:00 - 1:00 to try and beat the rush hour traffic. If anyone is interested in caravaning from SD let me know.

Thinking about heading up to the Pozo Saloon on Saturday afternoon. I've never been up there, is the Garcia Ridge trail fun?

So who from SD is going? Maybe the SD people could meet others folks along the way that want to caravan.I probably wont have the cruiser ready for real wheeling, but I could do the beach run. Id probably do the leave early saturday morning thing. Id just sleep in my truck and come back sunday.

Brunt, I can meet you on the 405 N. Sat. AM to drive up. that's when I will be headed up. If you want company on the drive up I have a Friend who is also coming from SD and can drive up with you (he is not a cruiser guy yet). Otherwise he was just going to drive to my place in the AM and head out with me. PM me and we'll figure it out.

Sam

Looks like I'm in. Heading up late Friday night, be in Pismo between 23:00-01:00. Can't decide between the Hilux and the Cruiser. The Cruiser, well, is a Cruiser, and it may be a nice refuge out of any potential weather (and sand). The Hilux, on the other hand, gets better gas mileage, has better surf racks, and the sleeping berth is easier to climb into when drunk.

I just dropped my cruiser off at Yotamasters this morning for a knuckle rebuild and regearing to 5.29s. Barring any mishaps we're leaving Friday afternoon.

Where is everyone camping?

Pole 6 is where the entire encampment is. SoCal80's are 'usually' somewhere to the left and inland from the main check in area...assuming that's not where Sam and Ian have already set up camp! :censor:

In order to pull this off at work I will be staying at a local motel with internet access. This is the first time in 10 years I have taken days off at the beginning of the month when I am always closing the books.

I will be staying at the Ocean Palms Motel near the pier. Looking forward to seeing you guys on the beach.
