Saw post in the Trails and Events section that Jim is lagging getting the web site up, but as of now still plans on having the event.

It's a lot of work for he and his wife, even with the help they get.

It would be a sad day if they didn't have the event, it's one of my favorite runs and even as a lowly FJ Cruiser owner I feel like one of the gang. We ran out to Pozo last year, did Garcia ridge in the late afternoon and made it to Pozo Saloon for beers and the sunset. 4 years running can't wait. :steer:

This will be my 4th SNT, and I'm going whether Jim shows up or not! I know it can be overwhelming planning an event. Maybe some more volunteers would motivate him.... If anyone knows how to contact Jim, I wouldn't mind volunteering to help.

A little disrespectful IMO, the event is what it is because of Jim, Katherine and a dedicated group of volunteers. Having said that, I'm sure Jim could use your help in some way if you're sincere about lending a hand.

any rig will make it.
Honda Accords drive on the beach. We are only 200 yards away from the surf line.

now, if by "make " it you mean ripping the back dunes and climbing the bowls? well, then just air down to 12psi and let er rip! Momentum is key.

Stockers do awesome. What's you rig like?
you got 3 months to get it fixed.

I'm in....boycotting cooking this year, just bringing a fork and a plate and following Jim around with the Vitamin T.

But yer bringin the smoked porter right :grinpimp:

I am likely to go now especially that I have some options :grinpimp:

I would like to introduce the new "Daily Driver" In comparison it actually is a more practical commuter..

My dilemma is that once I am there I will want to be in the 40 for the simple fact that it's a LC mecca event. I just got done driving back from SLO and it's no short trip. I almost can't imagine driving in the 40 all that way. I know it would be a breeze in the pick-up. Hmm..

Cool. Do tell.
So, how did you come about with this one? Forum classifieds, craigslist, ...

well...

Knowing what I wanted I had to really scour the net, I ended up finding it on Marlin Crawler classifieds. Since then I have seen a few that I would have liked even more but thats the way it goes.

Love the sticker of "The Stig" in the rear window and it looks like you kept the Hankooks from your 94 LC.

I'll look for you on the 5 and Washington.

Definately! Top Gear is my favorite TV show by far, what can I say. Yeah the Hankooks are a good deal. I am hoping to make this run. I think I might leave saturday morning and stay overnight spend a little time on sunday then head home in the afternoon.

I am trying to decide if I want to lug all the gear for camping or just get a dog friendly room nearby..:hhmm:

Just a note for anyone that doesn't have one of our bags, we'll be bringing some with us to SNT this year and offering up Mud discounts :D

I want one .............but it's got to be an empty one :hillbilly:.

Also if anyone is interested - there are still a few spots open for El Cap State Beach for Thursday night..
