Trying to get my wife to go with me......soooo....I'll need to stay in a hotel. Which one are most people staying in? I'd like to stay with a group of cruisers, if possible. Looking forward to my first SnT!

Eh.... I'm sure there are folks who haven't signed in.... so maybe it's about right on the number? Double signer-inners are boneheads! :D (I didn't did I????) Hehehe

I didn't sign in twice, but I did forget add my wife, three kids, my two sisters, my cousins and one brother in law.
13 total but I only put down 1 :whoops:

should do the poker run at night... that would be a bit more challenging... :D

Thanks Eric but when I called the local Forest Service Office in Santa Maria and talked to the person responsible for this area he told me the road to Pozo would remain open. Obviously, there is some confusion within the Forest Service.

I suggest we wait and see what develops over the weekend. If the OHV trails, ie; Garcia Ridge, Las Chiches, etc. remain closed I'm thinking we will skip the trip to Pozo this year regardless of the status of Hi Mountain road.

Looks like Eric's info was better than mine. I was hoping for better news when I called back today. We had a pretty good rain storm on Saturday, but not enough to end Fire Season. It will take 2-inches of rain before the National Forest will be open. (Of course then they will close it for being too wet - don't get me started).

It also looks like the Forest Service gate on the back road to Pozo is locked and will remain locked until the end of Fire Season.

Therefore we won't be going to Pozo. :frown:

The good news is more time on the beach and a relaxed Sunday morning. :)

For our Sunday entertainment, E9999 will perform a self-recovery demonstration, by hand winching his heavy 80 Series up a steep slip face!

Thanks Eric!

:flipoff2:

How about we just bury Eric's rig axle deep and watch as he gets out without help? :D

hand-winching eh? mmm... that could be interesting... I thought I got away from that with getting the M12000, though. Then again we could do it backwards for the heck of it... Who wants to be the anchor? :D

oh, and actually I'm already going to provide entertainment by attempting to bring across the creek and across the soft sand patches a heavy pop up with tiny tires and a low ass.... and all that without airing down if you please... Bring your beach chairs! :D:D

hehehe - I had nothing to do with it. The perps remain at large and unknown to this day!

I seem to recall e9999 arriving last year and getting stuck in the soft sand instantly when turning off the hard pack. Could have been the year before, my memory of the event is fading. Anyway, the self recovery thing may be for real.
Looking forward to the show.

Jim, I seem to have clicked hard enough..... Sweet lookin' map there. and thanks for the very helpfull error link.... That's classic! Is it smokey in the area? Did I heard there was a fire in the Santa Barbara area???

Eric, what time will you be arriving?...... So we can all be ready with the chairs...... :D
