Will be doing the same.Like advice on using steel screws,Button head allen look very close to reveits on OEM .button head allen.Planning just past flush on back side and staking them with a punch. If need more and not trying to preserve paint weld.I have harvested some to replace broken, what I did was grind flush on back knock out rivets have always stayed tight on clip drill tight hole drive in and weld back side and front is factory rivet,
Also had to buy a few clips from thefloridayard.com exact replica of factory in size but I don't think there tempered right to have proper spring to them, can bend by hand where factory springs back.I have a while before I need so hope can find old wheels to harvest off of if not and have to have then will buy more from Floridayard.com have a few hope to get enough to do factory harvested at least to do every other one with the springer one's...

Sorry fellas I can find no reference on the microfiche to a separate p/n for the hubcap clips. As the clips were riveted to the wheel, they were probably never considered a replacement item. Note, the microfiche panels are Toyota dated at Jan. '81, in the event somebody finds a Toyota p/n for that clip produced after that date.

Rivets are easy - go to an ag machinery outlet and source rivets for a header, windrower or sickle bar mower. Push them thru from outside, sit the head on a chunk of suitable metal and peen the back with a small ball peen hammer - trim the rivet so there's only an 1/8 or so thru the hole first.
