I'd love to get something like that going. Maybe down by Crissy Field on a weekend sometime. I'd like to know if anyone in the city has done this kill switch thing too. I garage my truck, but it would make me feel a lot better parking it around the city with a good kill switch. If you know any others here in SF lets try and get something going. I also don't know of any trails around here as I just got my truck back down here...

I'm going to order a couple of those gearshift locks.

Kill switch is easy. just find the ignition coil wire and put a switch in.

A friend of mine did his fuel pump on his 4runner. Turns off the fuel pump and it just won't start.

My vote is for meeting at Red's Java House at pier 30-32. Parking is free if there is no event going on, they have burgers and beer and you can get a great photo - op of all the cruisers lined up under the Bay Bridge. Plus you can keep an eye on your ride while you eat :)

Stolen FJ60

Hey CK,

did you get your truck back? I saw a very similar looking FJ60 monday on I-10E outside of Phx, AZ. Thats only a couple of hours from the Mexican border, thats where mine ended up. I could have sworn that it had the police light on the side too. Hopefully thats not it and it turns up soon. Good luck.

ramon,it has been recovered.please read the rest of the post hope you enjoy the madness of cruiserheads.lol what a group.

All - Sorry about the slow post with pics of my boy back home, but here you go!! This was PRE cleanup/TLC that I have since provided. As you can see, the truck came back in AWESOME shape! Thanks, again, to Cabrito for the recovery!

As for a meet-up to celebrate the homecoming...I'm all for it! I think Mark's suggestion (meeting at Red's Java House at pier 30-32) is great and it seems that a Sunday soon so vipergrhd can join would be a good call. How about Sunday, December 9th for a lunch of burgers and beers? I'm open to other days, too, but I wanted to throw out the suggestion to get things rolling. Reply with your availability/thoughts.

I hope all you Cruiserheads are having a good weekend and I can't say thanks enough for the support and, of course, to Cabrito for the recovery!!

I'm In for 12/9.

Red's Java House has been there since the 1930's I think. I try to eat there when I am doing my Safe & Vault work in the city. You see construction workers and Dot.com'ers alike. I like the burgers! Simple Nothing Fancy, they do not serve any lettuce, or tomatoes on the burgers so don't ask. I hear the clam chowder is great. It is not for everyone especially if you are a ritzy yuppie type but I think it is perfect for a '60 get together. There is nothing like having your lunch out on the pier with a great view !!!!

Here is a link you can check out.

Wow... Talk about a blast from the past.....Way back when I was in the Navy my ship was docked for repairs right behind Reds. Actualy the tugs F**** up and we almost took it out:D

Ok highjack over you can put your hands down now:beer:

who else?

so far 5 guys including ck,anybodt else coming?:frown::frown: john

Dec 9th = good for me for Reds

I do happen to be in town that weekend - Count me in for the meet and greet in San Francisco -

it's been a while since I was down there, what is the parking situation?

...

Parking is free at the pier for Red's customers. If we eat on the patio we can keep an eye on our rigs too. The only hang up is if there is an event going on at the pier, then it would be closed to all parking. Otherwise there is metered parking on the Embarcadero. I've never had a problem parking there even when I am doing work at the adjacent piers. Worst case, bring some change for the meters.

For those who may not frequent the city remember the piers are even numbered at this end of the city it is not next to pier 31 !! That is why it is called 30-32.

Burgers, beer and trucks? Yeah! Red's Java is an institution...

I'm in for 12/9. Would love to figure out where the circuit for the fuel pump is to make a switch.. maybe someone can share in person?
