Nice 80 man! Would love for you to join, and beware of the modification fever that follows... your rig won't be stock for long!

haha I know. I'm kinda nervous about all the money I am going to blow but excited to learn a little about wrenching. I have a couple repairs that need attention first but after that it's all fun stuff.

1997 with 150k on the odometer and factory lockers. Really clean interior and virtually no rust. I got it from a guy in Brentwood TN who just had it sitting in his garage. He gave it to me for $7500. I basically ran to the bank.
You did well at 7500. Looks to be near perfect. If you had bought one cheaper you would have at least that in it by the time it was ready for mods

Hello everyone. I've been a pretty active member of Appalachia Cruisers for a couple years but never came over here until now. I went to last year's GSMTR and will plan on attending all of them from now on.

Here's my truck. 1997 40th Anniversary, Locked, 10k Warn, 4" OME 863/850 with front leveling spacers, Bumpers custom fab'd by Rocky Top Customz in Knoxville. Roof Rack system from T.M.T.

Well Erin was a FB ninja and we got a hold of Andy quick enough and today was like Christmas for her. @andy's60 came up today and delivered her new-to-her 40. @ugamurph and his crew came over and we all had some BBQ and shot the bull for a few. The kids had a blast riding the 4wheelers and Erin had a blast riding in her new toy.

Most of you know this rig, but for those that don't, you will soon enough. And for anyone who knows me and my tendencies, have no fear, I am under presidential executive order not to do anything but drive this one for now. And Jamie made sure to clarify that me "wheeling" it on the trails around the farm do not count :ninja:

Anyway, we are planning to get it to Hawk Pride for mardikrawl in a few weeks and try it out.

I have been an 80 series land cruiser owner since October thanks to @sk8salomon selling me his spare and joined STLCA shortly there after. I wanted to introduce myself and my rig that is has been dubbed the “voodoo child” due to several unforeseen mishaps. She’s coming together and I hope to have her trail ready this spring. These are a couple of pics from when I brought her to where she is now. It’s been a blast learning about this truck. This site has been a huge help. I hope to get to do some wheelin with the group this year.

My new (to me) Datsun Trailer is growing up fast. A spring over lift using the original truck axle with 33” tires put the bed rail at 53”. It actually grew more than I wanted. I was aiming for 47-48”. So, smaller tires (31”), removal of the overload leaf, and a smaller diameter trailer axle should get me a little closer to my target height. It should be around 50” when it’s done and possibly about 48” when loaded with camping gear. There’s a lot to do, but I plan to have it loaded with gear at GSMTR.
