You drive a Cruiser that is 60' long and has the interior space of some hotels and you buy a roof tent? :hillbilly:

hehe, there are plans for the back..... if i can ever find someone states side to do a pop top id love it.

Just remember, while critters may figure out how to climb a ladder for a late night snack, they probably can't unlock a door.

Okay, 1978HJ45, the critters may be able to go up ladders, but can they open zippers?
Siflersmom, are you going to put any kind of lift on your Troopie, whether via larger tires, suspension or body lift? If you've already mentioned that in your thread, sorry i forgot (evidently). I ask because i'd love an RTT from Maggiolina/Autohome (although James Baroud's items appear to be at least near-equals), but i am really on the fence about this, as my Troopie is damn high already, so adding more height as well as weight up top rather has me shaking in my panties. If i do eventually get one, it will take some time to save up for it, as it would have to be one of the carbon fibre ones for the reduced weight.

So i have an arb simpson III that for those very reasons sold (am selling) to get the clamshell. Im vertically challenged, i have a 2 inch OME lift with 33 x 10.50 tires. Im too short to be climbing all over the truck tucking in the ARB, the columbus is one handed operation open and closed. Ill post some pics and a video of the differences.

On my HZJ77 I've got a 3" lift and 255/85/R16 (33.5") tires with a maggiolina airtop. I've done a fair bit of off road in it including some off camber playing in the rocks that required a spotter. Im not going to say it doesn't make a difference but overall you are just fine. These vehicles have a heavy drivetrain and that helps a lot keep us right side up

77cruiser77, that's what i was thinking too. All the added bar work on mine should make quite a difference too: 1100lbs., according to the builder.

Officially on the lookout for rims, want to keep genuine yota... found these

They are steelies for later gen 70s. Prolly powdercoat grey or black.... thoughts or suggestions?

Does anyone know the specs and part number for this wheel? Does Toyota make it in 16x8?

Can someone with a factory snorkel please measure the diameter of the intake on the actual head? I like the design of the head, rather go that route than the ram head or buy a donaldson.

Tis indeed. Would it be possible to get the OD on that bad boy? Maybe i can track down a part number or price of it fits.

The bracket is obviously in the way but here is the measurement just below the bracket. (9-1/2")
