Wow. This took a lot of effort to shoot and edit so be kind.
-I may have done things in a different order than other people. With the seals on the rear of the sector shaft (o ring, teflon seal, metal spacer, c-clip and oil seal) you can probably do all of that without the sector shaft in but I found install the o ring and teflon seal to be easiest with it in. I didn't check my rotating torque because I don't have the SST and don't plan on getting one.
-This is a backyard rebuild, hold no standards to me. Rebuild at your own risk.
-COVER YOUR CHILDREN'S EARS. I use adult language and don't plan on stopping just because I'm filming a video.

Awesome job. I rebuilt my gearbox a few years ago and your video would have made the job much easier! Thanks for putting in the time shooting and editing!

The only video I've ever seen that actually approximates real life. Take that Otramm! I might just watch this all day again and again!

Well done man. Subbed

Thanks, Guys! Don't be nervous about tackling this project if you are. It's tedious, not hard.

Thanks for your video! It was super helpful, currently still doing it, but the larger teflon seal that goes around the worm gear keeps breaking for me.
I used your hot water and c-clamp trick, but it still stuck out slightly and then broke when I tried to squeeze it in.
