That's the ugliest car I've ever seen.... but nothing a good coat of red and black paint couldn't fix. :grinpimp:

I wouldn't mind a red one :D especially after that peach bowl fiasco

looks like bondo to me. Also, not sure how many old "cars" you have driven. But I dont find them near as enjoyable, maybe its b/c we have SUV's and then my 63 chevy. It might just be that its a car, but its definately different. I like it and its cool to get the waves and looks, but overall its not always the most comfortable or convenient thing. I would not have it as my only DD, but thats me personally. Now, if someone were to swap a LS based 5.3 into my wagon and put a sport suspension in it with sound deadining yada yada yada, then that would be a nice DD. :)

have you seen the cruisers I drive??? I DD'ed my 40 for a couple of years before I got the FJ62........

I have never based my car decisions on pratical; cusy; reliable..... its more along the lines of does the car get me excited about getting up and driving it. it is purely emotional and not locgical; plus reliability is boring :grinpimp:

I do love the raw mechanical feel of older cars because it makes the driving so much more involving in a good way, as opposed to the modern rides where I feel so removed. I am sure with age I will acquire a more developed taste for luxury and reliability

I know the cruisers you drive thats why i put "cars" in quotes. I was refering to the car part not the old part. :)

I thing age does do it to you. That and not having to deal with the hassle. I think having an older vehicle that needs work etc if fine as long as you have a dependable vehicle as well. In our house its a little backwards. 1 nice, modern, dependable vehicle (wifes 4runner) and then my 2 vehicles which are older and need attention although not alot. They are definately not lets jump in and take them on a trip to the beach or other extended trip. At least not comfortably.

So when the wife gets the 100, if I have to sell my wagon to help pay for it. I need to borrow someones 40 for a few weeks and see how I like it b/f I go out and get another vehicle that needs attention more than a modern vehicle. (I think my 62 would be fine if I would give it a very thorough once over and fixed everything. Which is another thing, when you have 2 vehicles that are projects or need upgrades, one usually falls to the wayside and things get ignored or left incomplete. Which stinks.)
- But it is sweet to have 2 different vehicles that no one else in a 20 mile radius has! And they are somethign you like and getting noticed. Its not a, there are 30 of those that color, wonder if thats Matt or JP or whoever. When they see my 62 or the wagon they know its me. Even with my wifes 4runner it has the bumper and other little mods so people know its us. I like to make vehicles mine, which adds to the "to do" list on each vehicle.

OK, I am going to be bow. :bounce2:
