Well I have been getting some work done this summer, I decided to not do a full frame off yet, mostly because of limited garage space. I ordered some engine goodies from summit and wire wheeled and painted/powdercoated the engine. here is a pic of the engine almost finished. Now im working on painting the hood, front fenders, grill, and a few other things, I should have some finished pictures of those up soon. Ill get some better pictures of the engine too.

Finally finished my hood, I powder coated the hinges primer grey and got stainless hardware. Next up is the bib and front fenders.

Did a rear disc brake swap, I bought the brackets, rotors, rear brake lines, tombstone tabs/clips, and seals/gaskets from poser. I highly recommend buying stuff from him if you are going to do this swap, everything fit great and it was super easy. The other parts were the calipers and pads($50) brand new from advance auto parts, and the proportioning valve from summit racing ($50), and the 3/8-24 tube fittings from advance auto ($2). I powder coated the brackets and the rear diff cover, replaced the axle shaft seals, and installed the brackets. I basically just tried to copy poser's RDB thread. The last picture is a mount that i made for the proportioning valve using the original proportioning valve and a piece of an old power steering pump mount. Then i powder coated it.

more on the proportioning valve. I also powder-coated the bezel, it took forever to cure as i used a heat gun, but i am happy with the results.

Got some more pictures of the fender work, as well as the driver's side fender that I am doing. You can see the bike rack that I made in action, I didn't have the insert part completely finished so it looks a little crooked

You may recognize the peice in the first picture, the middle was totally rusted out so i cut it off the fender and made a replacement panel for it, then welded it back on after I fixed the other holes in the fender. Some before and after shots of some of the fender metal work.

After several hours of welding, then wire wheeling, I hit the bottom of the fender with some por-15, to be followed with undercoating after the top part is done, Currently applying body filler to the top. Got the side part painted.

Here are some pictures of the exhaust I built, I apologize for the wacky order I am posting some of these. I built the exhaust before I started any of the bodywork. I bought some 2.5" mandrel bent tubing, an x-pipe, and two flowmaster 40 series mufflers. The flanges came with the headers. It sounds so much better than the old exhaust.

So are you still going to pull the tub off? Or are you just doing everything piece by piece?

What made you do POR over the entire bottom of the fender, rather than just a primer and liner coating?

Initially I was going to do a frame-off, but I got really busy so now I'm going piece by piece. Pulling the tub off will have to wait until I finish school in a year or so. I'm thinking I want to do a 3b swap, so when I do that I'll take everything off. I am still going to try to paint the frame as best I can. I bought por-15 to do the frame and bumpers, and also got some por-15 undercoating. The bottom of the fender had a lot of rust so I did a coat of por-15, which will be followed by the undercoating. I did the same thing on the psgr side fender.
