Unless they changed the size on the 2F on an F that bolt is 12mm x 1.75 x 25mm has a split washer and with a 17mm head

The Toyota parts fiche indicate that the F and 2F have the same part number, except the 2F is 2 mm shorter. The parts fiche suggest a length of 32 mm for the F, and 30 mm for the 2F. I imagine that 25 mm length is the right one.

The parts fiche illustrate a stud for the upper connection, 12mm diameter. I don't know offhand if the thread pitch for the stud into the bell housing is 1.75 or not.

It turns out the stud is still available,
Bolt Stud - Toyota (90116-12005) for about $2 list.

An interchange for a M12x1.75x32mm long bolt is 91212-51232 for about $3.40 list.

If you go the dealer route, add in two lock washers (one for the bolt, one for the stud) part no. 94512-01200 and one nut for the stud, 94115-41200.

It would be nice if you reported back to @Coolerman the specifics on the stud.

Thanks!

Thank you @73FJ40 how did you find the replacement PNs? I've been looking all over for stand ins for old toyota bolt PNs that are no longer available.

Here's what I do. I search for the part number at www.toyotapartsdeal.com. I find out that 91212-41230 is NLA, so I increase the length in the part number (last two digits) and search again. I find that 91212-41232 is still available (retail $2.67). If I still want the same length, I search for a stronger bolt of the same type, for instance 91212-51230. I find out that it's not a good part number. Then I might see what else is out there, for instance 91212-51232. That is also still available (retail $3.48). So I decide that a 4T bolt is good enough, and it costs a bit less, so that's what I order.

@bcomnes

I've acquired a (large) number of parts illustrations and PN's over the years. Plus, there are offshore websites that have the illustrations.

Also, as @4Cruisers pointed out, the last 5 digits of the part no. ON OLDER PART NO'S speech a lot of info. First digit, relative material strength, 4-7. Next 2, diameter, last 2, length. Unfortunately, nothing on pitch.

I am currently changing out the starter on a 69FJ40. The starter to block bolt is Gr 4, 12, 1.75 X 25.
The stud is a 12. It has 10mm of 1.75 on the block side and 12mm of 1.25 on the starter side. Overall length is 37mm
I believe these are originals.
