I finished replacing mine today. Couple other notes if you don't have the cruise radar the part is slightly cheaper around $200 before the hazmat shipping. Gray part # was 73210-60680-B1.

It came with directions and you need to remove the negative battery cable before anything else. After replacement I had to clear the codes and recalibrate the passenger seat in techstream. I tried to recalibrate the seat before replacement and it just failed. With the new seatbelt in all is working.

Thanks for this thread, looks like I am in the same boat....wonderful.

10mm socket
14mm socket

That's it.

Pop off the door sills
Pop off the lower black panel
One 10mm at the bottom of the top trim
Two 10mm holding the grab handle
Pop off the upper panel.

14mm holding the top assembly

10mm at the top and 14mm at the bottom holding the bottom main assembly.

Pull the black portion of the yellow plug first then pull the plug out. Three other electrical connections. And its out.

Do the reverse to get it back together.

The hardest part is paying $350 for a damn seatbelt.

Did you have to reprogram the system after the install? Im dealing with the same issue and the stearship is asking $575 for the part....

I replaced mine today and as previously stated it's super easy. I purchased mine from Camelback Toyota online and shipping was free. I didn't have to pay any kind of hazmat shipping which makes sense since there isn't anything in there hazardous. There was a previous comment about not needing the pre-crash version if you don't have radar which is incorrect. I believe all US spec 200 cruisers should be using the pre-crash version as it's the version that has the servos to tighten up the belt based on panic braking for pre-radar cruisers.

Interesting. I'm finally getting around to dealing with this since it first popped up last May. The issue seemed to go away for awhile and now it's back. I had the dealership look at it without mentioning any possible causes or that a new full seatbelt retractor assembly might be required. They did come back and say that's what it is but they listed part #73210-06070-B1....which is different than what you have. Any idea on the difference?

Of course, the stealership is also quoting about $600 for parts and labor.

Thank you.

What year is your 200?

It's a very simple fix with just basic hand tools if you want to save yourself in labor costs.

2009. Thanks.

73210-60670-B1 would be the correct part number assuming your belt is gray. Looks like you had a couple numbers transposed. To clarify you do want the pre-crash version.

< $1 and you will never have to look for a bottle opener ;)

I replaced my belt tensioner last night and no longer have the SRS light! If you have this issue with your airbag light, get the belt!
FYI, I went with the standard tensioner and not the radar cruise version.

This happened to me today. Cleaned the contact on the passenger buckle and problem went away.

Is this really a fix or did you, @NHouston, eventually experience the fault again? It has been an intermittent fail code for me for the last week. And my state inspection sticker expires in 10 days. :banghead:
