I'm calm. Are you calm? No e-thug happening. I didn't think I was being that aggresive.

No its straight, prolly just came or more harsh reading it then it may have in person. no harm no foul.

At work I have built more then one truck that we replace ALL the front end parts and still had "loose" drivablity and had a 100% drivablity correction after the SR. I still think it's a upside down bezel argument all over. I think it's part caster and part shackle angle and movment. But all around it a better street driver hands down. In fact I just did a Heep and only changed the SR and got the same responds from the owner.... He even asked if I put softer springs on it:cheers:

You guts feel better now?:D Talk about emotional.. I like the SR on my 55. I have not made up my mind to do this w/ all the rigs I will get to tool on in my life(ooooh that's ALOT of em too-sarcasm) I have decided to take them on a case by case basis. I'm sure that I could have "cleaned up the steering" w/ the bushes and shox and center arm and knuckles and not done the SR and it would have been day and night. I don't mind the spring eye being where it is THAT MUCH. The factory shackle would be there otherwise. I think the lift is also gained by the angle of the dangle- not just the eye tower. I thought it to be a nice way to ease into things. Not planning on staying there, just don't mind the layover. I will prolly change my front set up soon (wheels still turning), but it will most likely be SR on this rig. Someday I'll get another 55 and SOA it w/ the factory shackling so I can give a more scientific comparison. And keep yer pants on guys- there only shackles!

Not too bad for a SUA or even a SOA. I'm calm. Are you calm? No e-thug happening. I didn't think I was being that aggresive. Here's my dumb 60 flex testing to measure shock movement and check for clearance and other things meaning I needed an excuse to drive up the rock.[/QUOTE]

this is the biggest SUA with the most flex I have seen in person............
just because he calls his 60 a piece, doesnt mean it is......I can attest that his 60 looks like hud on the body, but it is sound........................

..............execpt the frame:rolleyes:

Step away for a few days and things sure do change!

Just a thought guys. There's not always a right & wrong way to do things to these trucks. Some people really like SR's, some people don't. Some people think the SR is an improvement, others don't. So what?

When people start pushing that their belief is the best it starts sounding like some other forums.

you now lets go

...

Ok. Here's my shackle angle. Which is not much. I was reluctant to put a pic of the angle for fear of the "proper shackle angle police" But here it is. In answer to your question davidAW yes you do have to cut off the front spring hangers. It can be a pain in the dangle. But after that the rest of it is pretty smooth sailing. And thanks alot to alaska60 for being the frame rot police:flipoff2:

Thanks for taking the time for the pic.
It looks like FrontRange has the best angle after moving the hanger fwd.

I think I'll just do the install and see what I end up with. The look into moving the hanger if I end up verticalor worse.

Thanks again guys,
Sorry for throwing the SR Chum in the water.

That's not to bad he'll it's better then my OME angle if you like it run it

I just noticed a thread below on Mojave Springs from MAF and found this pic of a SR rig on their site.

Now that one has some shackle angle.
