Not LC related at all actually, but just purchased a Honda Odyssey and wondering if anyone knows/uses a solid Honda, Odyssey, or minivan forum, something like this where I can learn, interact, whatnot? TIA

As far as I'm aware, all the solid technical honda forums are long dead, basically lots of 20 year old archived content and a few lingering trolls. You won't find much for the van specifically. But good luck!

Our experience with Honda is add gas, drive, replace tires, do oil changes when you remember, discard when worn out.

Figured it couldn't hurt to ask, found one with some already useful info, so all good. Ill ask the same question when I buy the next car in the coming weeks...

check out "odyclub" or similar forum. Nothing close to this level of detail and insight, but definitely better than some other forums out there.

Anyone have suggestion for repairing a “minor” hole in the fender liner? Some sort of fiberglass or resin patch maybe?

I think my fender liner got hit by a small meteor or possibly came from the factory like this and is definitely NOT the result of driving over and through downed trees 😂

Just to close the loop on this, I ended up using a product from Gorilla that is similar to the other options that were posted but a bit cheaper. It was $12 for a 4x10 roll:

Amazon product ASIN B07HSKRYQW
It has been on for a week and so far I am impressed. It was easy to apply and immediately created a bond. Seems like it might be a handy addition to the emergency repair kit in the truck.

Anyone ever bake their 2013-15 LX headlights and pull the lens off? One of mine has moisture in it all of sudden, not sure what happened. Figured if I could take it apart I might try painting the chrome housing black and then reseal it.

There’s a thread around somewhere where this was done to install HID from another Lexus model.

i had two headlights fill up with moisture on an RX350. turned out there was a factory recall on the issue, and lexus fixed it for free. i would look up to see if there is a similar recall on the LX

Dont think there is.....would be documented on here which it is not.

For some reason, my roof mounding keeps flying off. Likely at highway speeds. I’ve gone through about three of these -

DRIPSIDE FINISH MOLDING 75555-60020

Every time I replace it, the fit seems solid. Clearly not enough. All of the other trim is intact and the clips are solid. Has anyone had this issue? Any tips would be appreciated.

I've had it come loose at the automatic carwash (I suspect after the super power blower dryer thing). I always check after now. Once I push it back down, they stay in place fine until I go through a carwash again. Even then they only get dislodged infrequently.

A little dollop of adhesive at a couple of spots along the length might make it harder to come out - I've had good luck with some goop called E6000 from the hardware store for other loose roof moulding parts.

I’ve used e6000 before on plastics and bushings. Does it damage your paint at all?

I've never had the parts I glued with it come off, so I don't know. I've used it on roof trim like the top part of the windshield side trim where the clips fail, the drip rail moulding on my son's land rover, and places like that.

I'm sure other adhesives would work as well or better, it's just what I had handy and used. Maybe something like 3M 500 would be better since it remains pliable? Or even windshield mastic. I don't think it would take much to discourage those roof trim/filler parts from flying off.

i believe the trim is designed to allow water flow under it. If you glue, you're going to block that passageway. Not sure if it really matters, but just a thought.

Perhaps, but if you just put a little dollop/dot of glue in a couple of spots, and don't go overboard, I don't think you'd block the channel.

I always thought it was a sort of makeshift half-assed extra cup holder.

Looks like the Odyssey has the same rear overhang issues as the 200 series.
