Spoke with Doc over at Springtailsolutions.com (MUD vendor) about a design for a backpack hook setup for the 80, he is currently making them for the FJ crowd, he is interested in meeting my request and the request of several other 80 owners who have expressed similiar interest for this product. Depending on the interest, need at least 20 orders, he will start the production for the 80 series. Below is an example of the backpack hook.

I LOVE that idea....

I hunt turkey and bow hunt elk, that would be just the thing for keeping both my turkey vest and my hydropack for Elk at the ready and upright, to grab and go...

So you are in? Forgot to mention that these sale for 19.95 + shipping for the FJ's.

I have seen on his site 4 hooks for the price of 3. I am figuring most guys are going to go with 2-4, so a minimum order should be easy to obtain.

Really?

D

i'm in for 2

looks like the headrest has to be all the way down in order to immobilize the hook, can anyone confirm - I've pm'd Doc too.

I'll take 4.

Note that these are also good for clothes hooks and all the headrest in the 80 have the same size/spacing posts so you can use them on any row.

Im in for 1 as well.. edit. make it 2

I'm in for 1. But remember important safety tip, remove if passengers in the back seat... or they could be lobotomized. Seriously.

These look like they'd be PERFECT to hang my Camelbak hydration packs. I'm in for 2.
I will say that they should be made of an ABS plastic type substance rather than steel. Not load bearing and less of a possile projectile.
Great idea.

Hydrate hands-free while you drive- perfect! Email has been sent asking about an alternative material choice, i.e. ABS, T6061, etc..... Thanks Jon!

Josh put me down for 1, perhaps 2.

Thanks for putting this together for the group!

The brackets will be fabricated from steel.

Design question? Need some measurements for the 80 series from it's inception to final year build 1997.
Center-to-center width, pillar diameter and lastly, were the seats the same throughout it build time. It has already been determined that the headrest are the same throughout the 95-97 and can be interchanged within all 3 rows.
