Hello! Looking for a new transfer case for my FJ62. Located in Norfolk VA, looking for one in good condition and/or rebuilt if possible! Thanks.

They're available new from Toyota for a reasonable amount, you would just have to transfer your vacuum shift assembly over which isn't too difficult.

what's wrong with your old one and do you want to sell it?

X2 on what is wrong with yours
unless it was run out of oil or is broken by damage, they are fairly stout
the unit needs to be dis-assembled to remove and install it on the transmission, fairly easy to rebuild

Paul have you ever rebuilt one from an FJ62 while still installed in the vehicle? Mine has leaked since I bought it. Previous owner had it dealer serviced who fill the T case with Automatic transmission fluid. Based lined it right away and shows no damage to the T case after twenty-eight years.

I've done a few of them, fairly easy, both had a small lift so there was a bit more room underneath.
don't forget to drain the trans first
I didn't but you could use a jack and unbolt the crossmember and get a little more room on top.
I also do a trans service as it is drained.
getting a long gear for the input is good also

I have one in Idaho. Pretty much you have to rebuild them when you assemble them so finding a newly rebuilt one won't really do you much good.
