Oh cool. I thought the spacing was too far differentbetween the manuals and the A440F. Can't wait to get my Tcase rebuilt and order one of your kits. Now we just need someone to offer all the necessary parts as a vacuum to manual Tcase conversion kit :D

I assume the 62 application is one where the shifters will need to bebent, correct? Is it just a slight bend, or pretty drastic?

somebody does sell all the parts; the dealer!

as for thr shifters, they need to be bent to suit each specific application; none of them will work with the straight shifters.

George,
My present setup is 1HZ engine/H41/split t-case all under a 1980 40 series. I have searched here in my region but thus far been unsuccessful in finding a good, used H55f to swap out for the H41. I'm interested in your standard twin stick setup if I can use it now with my H41 and still use it later whenever in the future I get the H55f. Let me know.
Thanks,
John

hey john.
thanks for the reply. i;d advise caution when buying a used 5spd. most of the stuff coming in from OZ has had a rough life and got USED a lot. i usually try to steer fellow cruiser owners towards a new trans from the dealer. i know they're not cheap but you get what you pay for.
the shift linkage geometry is slightly different for the h41 and h55f. the range ( high-neutral-low ) link can easily be modified by changing out the threaded rod for one that's slightly longer. literally a $3 part.
the 2wd-4wd link takes a little more effort to modify but it's not a big deal either. i'll be more than happy to supply any of my customers with spare parts. you definetly do not need to purchase another kit. i can sell you any or all of it seperately.

George,
I agree. Though local and not from australia, the used 5spds that I have encountered have all been in rough shape. I have therefore come to the same conclusion that I'll need to get one from the dealer. The problem is to get one from the dealer here is almost triple the price as what I would pay if I was back in the US. As such my plan is to completely rebuild my 4spd and the split case and wait until I get back to the US to get a new 5spd. As such I'm interested in a twin stick setup for my H41/split case combo. Please pm me with a price and an email addy for Paypal.
Thanks,
John

hey john.
yup, i guess you'd better wait till you're back here until you get the 5spd. what a bummer.
i'll pm you.

aa sells a great kit. my split-case twin stick kit is based on their kit and utilizes some of their components.
so there's really no reason for anybody else to make a kit. hit me up if you need one, i can have it shipped to you.
