Wondering if any one had any recommendations for Land Cruiser shops/mechanics in Southern California/Orange County? I saw a thread somewhere earlier but for some reason I can't find it.

Looking for help with an ARB air compressor install and maybe some suspension work.

Thanks!

Yotamasters in Corona. They will do suspension work and probably the ARB but not sure if they will do other mechanical or engine work. Good guys and very reasonable prices.

K & H imports auto repair
21420 Ingomar St, Canoga Park, CA 91304

They are professional in landcruiser. Check their business in Yelp.

I took my 4 Runner to Hiros Automotive for 20 years. I was very happy with them. They will be doing work on my LC. That being said they are not LC specialist but a very good group of Toyota mechanics. They are in Costa Mesa off the 55 south of 405.

Topline Performance in Huntington Beach put on my front Ironman FCP suspension. Took most of the day, but I have not had a problem since they installed the springs and shocks over 6 months ago. I saw a few LCs on their lot, including Mario's (the owner) 80 series.

If you're in San Diego, check out San Diego Trux at sdtrux.com. Every time I'm in there he's working on multiple Land Cruisers and he's done a great job with my 2 LX570's.

x2 on Yotamasters, they do regular service and complete mechanical services. They did my head gasket repair and have repaired and maintained my 80 series.

Rpm auto center in irwindale if you in the SGV.

They do tons of lifts on 100 series and 4runners

Just went to RPM to get my wheels and tires mounted. Friendly staff and reasonable pricing. Thanks for the suggestion!

American Overland Expedition is in Laguna Hills. They have done work for other mud guys with 200’s.

Took our 200 to Yotamasters to find out about a lift and they looked at us like we're crazy. Said they didn't have experience with 200's :frown: Wasn't their usual clientele. I'd love to find somewhere local to install sliders and a lift.

Do you know which system you're going with or have you already purchased it? It may be worth asking the vendor (Icon, ARB, etc.) if they have any recommendations?

No, not yet. I was hoping to speak to someone and hear their recommendations and research Mud some more. Everybody on here is so helpful. Thanks for the vendor idea:)

I had mine installed by Santa Margarita Toyota. The alignment was so bad. I don’t think I would recommend them or have them touch my rig again. Glenns alignment in Costa Mesa saved the day. They will do a suspension install and so will Hiro’s Automotive. Both in Costa Mesa. Hiro’s has worked on my 4 runner 20 years. So far all they have done is an oil change.
Check them out if your not feeling comfortable with others.
All of Hiro’s mechanics are from the mother land.

Ugh. That's how I feel about Toyota of Orange! Thanks for the Glenn's & Hiro's recommendations. I was hoping for some local Mudders to chime in. CM isn't too far from me. Thanks!

1st purchase guys and I'm super excited. Ordered Slee sliders today- woo hoo! Should I be kicking myself that I didn't order the nut tool and drill bit??? Any OC locals know of a shop that can install with the right tools? Thought I'd ask here before I started calling around. Should I call Christo back and add it to the order? Whatcha think? Help a mama out:)

If you are new to LA or new to crusiers, you can't go wrong with either K and H in Canoga Park or RPM in Monrovia.

Armando is the owner at K and H. He bypassed the rear AC on my LX470 last week. Great guy to work with, very fair and knowledgeable. He loves to get things done right but also inexpensively, he was telling be about a customer who was quoted $25K in work on his 60 including a new engine. Armando said there was now way this guy needed a new engine and instead did $7k worth of work for him.

RPM garage is excellent as well. Steve had some lightly used suspension parts he sold me an installed. Both shops are very fair in price and farily busy. RPM is the busier of the two. Both are great work are fair prices. Don’t hesitate to go to either one, you’ll be in good hands based on my person experience and talking to other while I was there.
